If I put a pet in the adoption center will it stay what it is zapped?

Yes, it'll stay the same color unless it's Hydrus. Only Hydrus turns into Common when pounded, but directly transferring the pet to another user will keep the color intact. Bhakoru and Bumbus species will turn into Common Kumoses when pounded but also do not change for transfers.

So will my Spectrum Endeavor stay as a spectrum endeavor if I put him in the pound?

Yes, he'll stay the same =)
