Can we vend Peka-Boo items? And if so, which machine please?
nope they were for that event only
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
Most event items are never vendable. I say "most" because I think last year? during Fireside there were items that were only available through the vending machine. That is the only time they have done event exclusive items in machines.
Freyalise items vend through Ocean Depths only when the shop is open during Keel Hauliday. These two are the only exceptions I can think of.
However, there is a slim chance of Major Drills possibly giving you Peka-Boo event items. His items are entirely random, and it's no guarantee you'll get an old item, much less one you want. I haven't gotten any myself, and I don't know if anyone has, but he's given me many holiday, event, Subeautique, Cash Shop, and anniversary items from years past since doing his quests. There was a time when he was just giving his items, but that has recently been fixed.
Thanks for answering :)
Thanks for the tips and explanation. The main reason I asked is because I think if it's not in the vending machines, it shouldn't be asked for in quests either. Exclusive event items should not be asked for in quests period. Thanks again :)
They changed the quests earlier this year, I think to give a wider variety of items that the quester will ask for. Maleria, who used to ask only for purple, gray, and black items, was a Weekend Quest nightmare for many. Several of her requested items would shoot up by thousands.
Now Quentin and Cinthia ask for game and event items, I think just Quentin for the event items as well as game items. Many of them used to be completely worthless, now they are not only deleted when turned into Quentin, but they also have some value. If you can't afford it, or think it's too much, just cancel the quest. There's no penalty for doing them, and you'll save Subeta Points. I generally don't spend more than 40-50K on Quentin, and only do quests for Mage Amulets or when they're the Weekend Quest. Cinthia really isn't worth it unless she's the Weekend Quest, and even then, you don't make much.
As for the quest changes themselves, I'd imagine a staff member could give you the reason they changed. That was just my guess.
Thanks, boy, do you have a lot of patience :D ❤
Quentin (and maybe Cinthia?) was changed to ask for Game Prize rarity items because there are tons of them that are ridiculously undervalued. If you can't afford a quest (or if it's just not worth it), cancel it. You're not supposed to be able to finish 100% of them every day.
I wonder what y'all say when quests will start asking for cash items, because, mark my words, that day is coming...
It's not a question if I afford it, I'm not paying over 500k for a quest, ANY quest. I know I can quit if I don't like it. But between all alegarten, lumineve, morostide AND lounge (trinkets?!) items Quentin asked, I find it very unfair she'd ask for limited edition exclusive event items. Peka-Boo has nothing to do with quests, or should be this way.
Buuut...totally off topic, question was about something else, asked and answered, so before we get slapped with a trout, let's end it :D ;)
You realize the Peka-Boo items are only asked for because of the rarity they are right? They weren't manually added into the quest pool as some kind of conspiracy, they're the right rarity to be asked for occasionally and I don't understand why it's such a big deal that they might be asked for.
Cash shop items are never going to be used for a quest... where on earth would you get that idea?
MOST event items and a lot of game items were worth nothing before Quentin and Cinthia started asking for them, because unwanted ToT items, Random items, etc, flooded the system. Now they're worth something because you can turn them in. The Peka Boo stuff is, like Darkrai said, just the right rarity. They're not asked for often, because there aren't as many compared to Morostide items and other stuff, etc.
Cash Shop items are already used for item hunt.
Oh shit, everyone get your tin foil hats the end is near!
I could see the fuss if a ton of quests were asking for these items, but its 2 quests, and items that hit a certain threshold don't get asked for.
