(tbh, if this is topic does not belong here, let me know or has been done, forgive me and i will either lock this topic/or ask it to be moved)

I want people to share how has subeta impacted their life( in a positive way)

I will start:

When I first started subeta, I had alot of issues real life- I didn't have alot of things in common, I only had two treasured friends (pepsi and elestrial) who inspired me to try custom wearables. I had traditional and photo manip experience. My first digial experience with a tablet was this art They believed I could do it, so I tried. My first onsite item was 'blossom chestnut curls' onsite items all these items I have done and some others that aren't onsite yet, and some I haven't even posted..

From the sketch I showed you and the current items onsite, that is one of the positive impacts Subeta has done for me. But besides me, the best impact, is the friends I have on here. I have added a few on facebook, and I never ever had that support in a long time.

So I ask you now(if this is right topic, please reply, i want to know) How has subeta impacted you? I want to know " POSITIVE" experiences and get to know new future friends...

Main reason why i wanted to start this thread is all the negative atmosphere on those drama tumblr anon posts...lets spread the positive hugs all around!!

after 8 years, subeta is largely to blame for how much my art has improved.

fun comparison , here are two pieces from 2008: url=http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h271/spiritstory/chibi/lilichibi.jpg url=http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h271/spiritstory/chibi/elvish.jpg and here's some art i finished this year: url=http://i.imgur.com/s6RvYoK.png finished last night:url=http://i.imgur.com/AVVsQgn.png

whenever i had no drive to improve, people on here were always happy to supply me with more things to draw, and so my illustration portfolio is now subeta-flavoured, and i'm really happy and grateful to everyone who's commissioned me over the years :`)

It gives me something to work towards, and to look forward to. I am proud of the things I have accomplished here, also.

At the temple, there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone.
It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out.
You cannot read Loss, only feel it.

Actually, subeta helps me save money. Whenever I have to urge to buy random crap I really don't need (which is very often), I go on mass sP spending sprees and all is well. ^-^

Subeta has helped my depression immensely. I can come on here when I'm starting to feel down and talk to people or make a new ha or just do whatever and my day is better. I've also become a lot more open-minded and informed since joining the site. Not that I wasn't before, but I've learned about so many different ways of life and points of view on the forums here.

seconded what and said. as a mindfulness/distraction tactic it's actually pretty effective? I mean, it's not quite the same as grounding yourself to something in real life obviously (sometimes that's better imo) but it usually does help. and i actually have money on here, lmao, it's soo relieving to have just one place where i can spend willy-nilly and buy all the cute clothes for my avatar and all the food i want

I have to say, since I started playing subeta, my IRL fashion sense has improved dramatically, lol. I used to not care about fashion at all and only wore jeans and t-shirts my entire life. Now, as my money situation hasn't changed much, I still do wear jeans and t-shirts a lot, but I have a new appreciation for fashion now that I didn't used to have before, and enjoy wearing girlier stuff from time to time so I don't look like such a tomboy all the time (not that it's a bad thing either way lol).

Umm... it also gives me something to do and look forward to every day. I have a lot of issues with depression and this is a great escape into a different reality where I can forget about all of my IRL problems and focus on doing something I enjoy instead of being stressed and anxious about all of my IRL problems constantly.

Whelp, when I was younger, from drawing cartoons, being around other artistic people and friends, school, art programs, and doing graphics and drawings early on for Subeta it lead me to go into graphic design. So I can say that Subeta was one of many influences that helped me choose a career field. I also gained CSS and Photoshop skills from doing commissions in the past on here. Sadly I am not artistically invested on here anymore as I have moved on to focusing on doing design 40 hours a week now, lol! I currently work doing design for kids and tweens so this place is somewhere I can go to keep the young vibe in me (I don't know how else to describe it!).

I have befriended and talk to folks from Canada, Australia, and Alaska. I think it is an important experience to talk to other people in other parts of the world.
