1.All the shards like . Are they rewards from battle quests or battling a certain opponent? 2., Also, where are these from if their game prizes? I think I saw one in a quest but I'm not sure.

1. You get the shards from turning in mage amulets to the mage when he doesn't give you tomes in return.
2. Those can be won from some games at the carnival. Mallarchy Pond and Ring Toss are my favourites because they're quick and easy, but I think Bluff can give them out too.
