I'm looking for things to add to my pet Tak's treasure chest and need some ideas! Tak is from King's books Desperation and the Regulators. Right now, his treasure has items related to those books, to his minion Blaine (also a King character), and to King in general. Are there other King tribute items, or items that would suit a fanpet (or Tak based on his story on his profile or on the books)?

The (carrie) is the only one that's coming to mind at the moment, but I'll keep digging! I could've sworn we had some Pet Sematary things, but I might just be thinking of unrelated tomstone-y stuff :P Tak is awesome, it's a shame we don't have more SK specific stuff for you to work with!

Ooh thanks for that recommendation! I didn't know about that item :D Tak can feel pretty when he wears it XD I'll poke around with the cemetery type items and see if I can find some that would fit too.

for general Tak stuff, maybe: et al, because they kind of remind me of the can tahs? especially the turtle, but that's more of a Father Callahan thing than a Tak thing. OTL

Ooh thanks! The Skeletal Serpent and Rat would be good since those are can tah animals... and I love those little figurines! And yeah, the turtle is such a big part of IT and the DT series, Tak probably needs it too.

Nope, didn't see the revolver. :( I picked up the set of twin pistols on a quest which reminded me of the Gunslinger in the beginning, and never thought to search for more.

I found this thread, which has some really neat reference items to so many things, but very little related to SK.

I don't remember much at all about Desperation since it's been well over a decade since I read it. Actually, I remember more about IT since it scared the crap out of me (for 3 nights I had to leave my light on, lol), but I know it's one I'm going to re-read. :D I'm almost finished (again) w/ the 7th DT book, and then I'm reading the latest of the DT books, then on to re-reading Insomnia (b/c it's heavily referenced in the last DT book), and then back to Desperation.

This thread is making me add so many more items to my WL. 😸

gosh, let's see...people have covered all the direct King tribute items that I know of. What about some kind of action figure to represent Seth's toys in The Regulators? might work. As for mining items, perhaps ?

@ Sitar OMG your Roland fan pet is awesome! Love his treasure :D If you want another King friend for him, he can be friends with Tak... but then, I can understand if that would mess things up. I really don't think those two would get along if they were in the same book!

I didn't think about action figures for the Regulators toys! Also toy cars would work. I'm working on a fanfic about Tak and Blaine, so more ideas will probably come to me ❤️

Ha, I just assumed the Gunslingers Revolver was DT based. I figured it was a book drive item like the other DT things, but now I see it's not. There was a Rango plushie released with that collection, so... oh well. To me, it's Roland's XD Tak can just laugh at me if it's really Rango's.

thanks so much!! I must say, I'm hella proud of his TC. He's almost done, need to find an overlay artist. Honestly I'm not 100% sold on the story I wrote him, but we'll see :P oooh, can Gunslinger be "friends" with your pets? It's dang hard to find relevant ones scattered about the site. I found him a Jake and an Cuthbert, but nobody else so far.

@ Sitar I noticed Jake's owner's account is up for grabs on November 11, so you could snag that name for your own pet if you wanted. That person also had Gunslinger, Lady of the Shadows, and The Prisoner. (I'm sort of tempted with Lady of the Shadows since my real name is Susanna... hehe.)

Also, The Gunslinger's background image and overlay art gets blocked by AdBlock Plus for me. I'm not sure why, but AdBlock may block stuff hosted on imgur?

EDIT: Okay, I finished fixing up Tak's profile and added a bunch of the items ^X^ Now I just have to wait until I can buy more MKBs and get the sP for the pricier wishlist items! Thanks for the help, y'all! Now I just have... all my other pets to finish -X-;
