I won't give details as one, I don't want to and two, there's an investigation and a lawsuit pending.. but Friday night my mom and lil brother were in a bad accident, they were hit by a drunk driver. My mom died on impact. My brother is fine though. But.. everything is such a mess. My mom took care of everything, she was the one in charge of papers, insurances, cars, etc etc. My dad just fixed the cars and made the money. I'm not really sure how to even process or deal, but we're trying. I guess I'm just looking to talk, there's so much going on here it's crazy. Thankfully the community is coming together and helping us out a lot, we've had so many people coming by, bringing food, offering help with anything.

Thank you. It really is.. and it turns out I went to school with the kid who hit them, we rode the same bus together for 8 years. I'm so pissed. And the fact that everyone is helping out so much is so amazing, like we never knew people would come help us like that. We put up a fundraiser to help raise money for the services, because we're so strapped.. we've had so many donations. I know I just keep looking t it and crying every now and then. If my mom was here she would be in awe. If anyone deserved to have this much help, it certainly was her. She was such an amazing and caring woman. Ironically, she was the safest driver we ever knew; never been in an accident, never got pulled over, nothing. And she was killed by the one thing she despised the most, drunk driving.
Omg that f***ing asshole! Someone should strangle him with piano wire. I hope its a wonderful service. Awww, hugs there there. Such a horrible thing to happen to such a amazing and wonderful mother. So sad that death took someone so great so soon and left an asshole in its wake.

I know. We are furious. We're talking with our family lawyer though and getting everything we need to knock his sorry ass down to the bottom of the barrel. I'm trying to look at it this way, though.. at least my mom didn't suffer, and at least now, she is no longer in pain. She was in an accident back in 1987 while she was pregnant with my sister, she and my dad were hit by a drunk police officer. My mom never went for x rays or anything, because she was pregnant, and my parents settled out of court with the officer. Few years down te road and my mom started having problems with her back. Her back was so bad just this past Tuesday, she had text me because she went to buy a pair of shoes at the mall and couldn't make it back to her car because she was in so much pain. She had to stop and sit on a bench and then couldn't leave from the pain in her back and her hips. I had to call my boyfriend (who luckily works at a store in the mall) and have him leave for a few minutes to bring her car around and then help her out. She wasn't like old and frail but she had severe problems. Pinched nerves, sciatica, slipped, herniated, and degenerating disks. Plus whatever new problems had been going on with her hips (that was a relatively new problem). So. At least now.. at least now she is finally no longer in pain.

I can't believe another drunk driver and a police officer no less! It's great that your boyfriend could help her:) It must have been so hard for her living with all those severe problems. I can see your point that she is no longer living in pain. So sad.
