I think we need a Pirate Potion to change your pet into a Pirate. Anyone else agree?

I would love to see some sort of walk the plank or a ship with a plank type background, and pirate related pets would awesome

I don't see how pirate pets could really be done without giving them clothes, which is something Subeta is avoiding.

No thank you. Besides the clothing fact, which I do agree we should keep pets as naked as possible and save clothes for overlays, there's other reasons I feel like pirate pets just don't make sense. Pirates are an occupation. They do have a stereotypical look, but I'd hope Subeta would be above that when it comes to pets and draw entirely original pets, which is kind of impossible when you're asking for a color based entirely on a caricature of a culture based around media interpretations that have resulted in the pirates we think of now. It's just an idea that has no novelty in it and I don't think Subeta would benefit from doing this. We already have Hydrus pets, which although in nature aren't pirate pets of course, but they are one of the more vicious and aggressive looking pets on site and an overlay would easily turn one into a pirate. Rather than a pet color, I think pirate or something similar could also be a job, which would make it possible for any pet to be a pirate, no matter how they look.

No, because that's a color found on that OTHER virtual pet site, and Subeta wants to avoid any similar colors. That, and the above statements of having to give them clothing or whatnot to look more pirate-ish, another thing Subeta wants to avoid.

I came here to say something "Omg I'd love pirate pets!" but then I read everything here, and you're right. Let's keep the clothes off the pets. x3

As much as it would amuse me to see an overlay of a pet geared up in pirate attire. If I saw pirate pets I would think Neopets. Let's keep the clothes off Subeta pets and stick with dressing up HA's.
