Thanks to you all for the wonderful birthday wishes and prezzies.. you spoil me. I mean.. look at all of this cake!!
I had an okay day, worked for some of it.. slept for some of it and now all of a sudden I'm sick. >.<

The sleep was short but sweet.. of course.. somehow in those few hours of sleep is when I got sick. I was fine this morning and half dead tonight heh. I don't have anything to special planned for my birthday but I am planning a mountain hike in the next week or so for some leaf-peeping! I haven't been to my favorite mountain in YEARS and this is the best time of year for it.
I should have listened to Tea_Roll and not let you have any. I just knew something would come of this. Well as long as she never learns that you got sick and says "TOLD YOU SO!" It will be okay.
Well, whatever it is, I hope it passes fast and that you don't get more sick.
Leaf-peeping, ha ha, I had to THINK about that for a minute. I've been in CA too long, WAY too long. Fall used to be my fave time of year, in Wisconsin and I LOVE looking at the fall colors, which is what I assume you mean by leaf-peeping. One of these yrs I'll get back for a visit. I'd go ANYWHERE east of the Rockies and above the Bible belt where I could see some grand fall trees in color change.
I hope you have a great time visiting your mountain when you go!! It sounds wonderful. Well my food is hot (microwave) and my body is tired. I need to eat and get off of here, I suppose you have to go back to work later? I hope not, considering that you didn't sleep long & you're sick now!

Haha yeah that's what I meant by leaf peeping. :) I enjoy the colors just driving around but the best to get high up during peak foliage and look down around.. so beautiful! I have an awesome camera now so if I do get there I'll get some good pics.

I miss the good old days, driving around to look at fall colors. When I was a kid we used to (sometimes) go to a large apple orchard as part of that ritual. They sold apple cider and fresh homemade doughnuts and sausage and cheeses, and pumpkins!!, I just remembered that part. I think we did that when we were buying our pumpkins for Halloween. No mountains in WI, but just about everything else.
