Well, now with the name swap available, we're able to change two pet's names around for 750csc! Which is pretty great. However, what if you find a pet name you really like in the pound, but you don't have the space to adopt it and do a rename to one of your existing pets? That really bites, huh?
So, to add onto the new feature, I have an idea. When you see a pet in the pound, and when you go to adopt them, maybe under the "adopt this pet" option, there can be a "swap names with one of your existing pet" options. For a failsafe, if that pet is adopted in that time frame (or someone else nabs up the name), there can be a "oh! this pet name was taken, the transfer as failed" error that will pop up to prevent someone from getting the wrong name.
Yes, it bites, but you should adopt a pet before you're allowed to to anything to it. And, if you don't have the space, it's really too bad.
Eh.. I agree with sopheroo. If you want a pet, own it first before doing anything else to it.
Absolutely not. If you don't have the space, that sucks. Maybe abandon the pet whose name you'd swap out and adopt the one with the name you want. I agree that you should own both pets involved before you can suddenly make changes to them.
This would add a lot of complexity to what is a pretty easy system. Probably won't happen, sorry!

Ahh that sucks, since I saw this was sort of a gripe of some people in B&C. Figured this might be a way to appease those parties and earn the site some extra revenue.
Since Keith pretty much said this is unlikely to ever happen, I suppose this can be closed ...? Unless you think there is still ample room for discussion on this, in which case I'll trust your judgement on it.
