I got a Loyalty Pet Slot Totem but the description says This item, when used, will give you one extra pet slot. You must have a GA active to use it, and you cannot trade or sell it. This item is just for you!
So do I need to activate a gold account or can I just use it

According to subetalodge the trunk used to give you a costume trunk that was currently in the Cash Shop, but now instead it gives you 500csc.
Unfortunately I don't know about the pet slot totem, I have a gold account. D: Maybe someone else will come along and answer that one. Sorry!

yes you need a gold account medal in order to activate it :)
You can use the pet slot totem BUT you can only make another pet with it if you have a GA active. You'll never lose it though, even if you don't have a GA.
What happens when I just use the totem but don't have a GA active. If I got 2 Loyalty Pet Slot Totems can I both use them with the same GA.
So I need a GA to make an extra pet but what if I don't whant hin anymore and put him in the adoption center what will happen. Can I just make an other pet or do I need a GA.
What are the bonusses for the GA

Yep, you can use them both with the same GA. Once you activate the slots, you never lose them. You can reuse them with different pets, just best not to spam about it (i.e. make pet, abandon it, make another, abandon it, repeat.)
The bonuses with a GA listed up in the GA section of the Cash Shop - ranging anywhere from more vending to more slots on your HA.
It is in the afternoon here I just don't get it why I need a GA to get an extra pet when the totem should just unlock the pet slot. I just don't have an interest in the bonuses from a GA but the I finally want to use the totem.
