Soooo, I've been wanting to pay someone USD for an overlay for one of my pets and I can't seem to get any responses. I'm not sure if it's because I'm looking/asking in the wrong places or I just happen to have that kind of luck recently.

Where is the proper place when buying overlays? I've posted in the art market in artist specific threads, I've posted in the pet profile forums seeking art, and I have smailed/commented artists with no luck! And here I thought USD was the most sought after form of payment yet I'm having a real hard time finding someone!

I am hesitant in posting in the art market too much because a lot of the art looks mostly like human, busts, chibis, and character type things and I'm looking more for actual animal overlays.

Can I get some pointers? Maybe direct me to the right place? Perhaps suggest an artist you know who does pet overlays (not recolor of previous animal bases but actual draw from scratch art)

In all seriousness, there's been a massive upheaval in the art market so I would give it a couple weeks to settle and try again. If nothing else, you can always check Tumblrs or Facebooks linked.

I have been stalking the few artists on tumblr that I've manage to figure out their Subeta user handle but so far none have open commissions or they do the human/character type art. (granted, I know there are a lot more artists out there I don't have followed yet). And, ew, Twitter.
