where do i do this without changing the look of the whole site? I just want my profile to look different.

There is an "Edit Your Profile" link on your profile. This lets you add new content and move it around.

I think you need the "Profile" module to add and edit CSS to change the look. I always used the box that used to be under the user dashboard, so I'm not quite sure. >_<

is correct. Once you add the profile box, if you don't already have it, you can enter pre-made code, or make your own code to add there. Unfortunately, it makes it more annoying if you mess things up since there is no way to access the coding if the profile goes wonky.

When you click Edit profile, at the top of your profile a box that says "Toolbox" should show up, right under there is a link called "Add Content" Click that, then look for the "profile" widget. once that is added you should be able to click the pencil to add CSS to make changes to your profile.

Yeah, when I click the pencil all that comes up is a box to change the title. It only lets me change the title. I cannot add anything under the heading. The boxes don't get bigger with my text they stay the same and the little header with the title in it has my text.
