Why did we have to change it? Buying individual pieces is nice and all, but it's more expensive. I get that the site needs money but c'mon. Why not just keep using the magazines, but allow us to choose a set instead of it being random? Like we do with monthly collections.
Also please put "Vanity" back in the names. For consistency and making them easier to find. Just because there's no magazine doesn't mean they can't be part of the same line.
Actually I'd like that if they had a set option, would make things easier. I'm alright with the way it is now but if they did go back and put it in magazines again with the option to pick it would be cool.
My friend and I were just discussing this. I agree with you on all accounts.
Yeah, I know there was a lot of complaining about them being chance bags, but the way I see it... and I'm not here to speak for everyone ... the mentality behind clicking 4X on the 125 csc button is a whole lot different than 1X 250 csc button. Even if people ended up with the least popular set, they took that gamble, because there was always hope to get x or y set. And hey, they just might trade it for another set they didn't have or there was that one item in the set that was actually more desirable than the rest so they can get some money (sp) back by selling it.
The thing that most bothers me is a lot of the pieces are so generic and casual that they don't warrant 125 csc. In addition, some pieces' shading looks flat-out weird or flat. ;l What I'm trying to say is it's clear these were made as "sets" so to see them sell separately rubs me the wrong way when there are currently non-chance fashion bags for 250 csc in the cash shop that open to FOUR items. Well, will you look at that? The same amount these vanity-like sets have.
So I'm sorry if I'm getting the wrong impression here, but the way I see it, this is a money grab using the excuse of well you guys complained these were chance so they're not anymore. Which still doesn't justify the price hike. Maybe if these were all signature pieces like then okay, I could get behind that (I bought two older vanity items in the cs today without any hesitation), but they're not. They're not boutique quality. They're not signature pieces like . And it's kind of sad that the print jeans like the have more shading when the jeans go for 75. If we're supposed to pay for the "vanity" label, well, we don't even have vanity in the name, so right now I'm feeling slightly ripped off. Sorry, but not sorry.
I agree with everything said so far. Even when it was random which set you got, it was really easy to trade for sets without ever having to pay anything extra, so the price hike is NAGL. If they were a cheaper the hoarder in me wouldn't be able to resist buying all of them, but as it is now I'm only planning on buying the ones I actually like which is... not very many of them.
And there was definitely no reason to take 'vanity' out of the name.
I agree with all of the above. If the aim was to get us to buy two or three pieces and leave the rest, great! But much as I have no luck with chance items, I'd rather get a set for 250 CSC and shove it in my wardrobe or sell/trade if my only other option is a price hike such as this. :/
Maybe a middle ground could be reached if we could buy an entire 4-5 item set for a discounted price, like in the Boutique (especially since the prices of individual items are getting close to Boutique level across the board). Otherwise, and I hate to say this because I realize Subeta needs constant funding, I hope these stay around for the next big sale.
Also, please add Vanity back to the item names! I always search using that tag because these are so specifically styled, and I'm sure a lot of other people do, too.
D: Another vote for putting Vanity back in the titles. Vanity items, including these, have a pretty specific look and feel to them, and there's no way I'm going to remember to get any of these ten individually-named sets later down the road. All the other fashion "lines" have branded titles, so it doesn't seem inappropriate to do the same here.
I'll add in the Vanity title to the items. :)
I don't care too much that they aren't from the book, I would like to see a bundle discount but I am fine without it. I am very happy that the name vanity is in the names again. But what REALLY bothers me is the fact that they are not grouped right on the cash shop page. I love the Inure set but the headpiece is not with the rest of the set, all in a row. It is too easy to miss a piece.

I don't want to beat a dead horse here, so I'll try be brief. I think the best way is to give people both ways of getting items like these.
I know it's too late for this vanity, but for future vanity or future cs sets that are released en masse like these were (40 items is a lot |D), I think adding in a chance bag (definitely not a book haha) to obtain a random set and charging a premium for individual pieces would work out for everyone. That way the people who want to gamble can do that and those that want to avoid chance altogether can still buy the items. This would expand the target audience and sounds like a win-win situation. :3
Weren't these released that week? I don't think it's too late to go and add a book, especially for the consistency's sake.
Maybe, idk how long it's been, but I'm not sure how people who purchased the items already would feel if there was a chance bag released for these. ;s
People that bought separate pieces are mostly the one that complained a lot about chance bags, haha.
Sure, they might have paid more for it, but they got all the pieces they wanted without the hassle of trading or reselling the ones they didn't want. I think it's not that bad a solution.
Probably. xD
I mean I'm all for it being added for this vanity, but the longer one waits the more potential for backlash and I feel like if staff wanted to add a chance option, they would have by now? I just think this idea for the future would be a way for everyone to be happy, because this isn't one or two new sets, it's ten. Besides, chance bags are sooo addicting. ;O; It's like you either love them or you hate them.
