So I know that the zapper can turn a minion into sludge and inventory items into dust, but can it effect treasure chest items? I have an expensive TC and don't want any of the items to be zapped into dust.

Also, does the zapper still take away stats?

Nope, zap can't affect TC, only inventory (with exception of locked items). And it already reduced stats from my pet in the past, but I'm not sure if it still occurs. I don't zap that much (I started zapping again today, just for the pet colors achievement, and it didn't increased or reduced my stats yet)
