Do any of the other quest givers have a "penalty" for not completing a quest within a certain amount of time (outside of the actual quest timer)? If you delay during the Wizard's quest you will only be rewarded with a 15 pt token (and possibly a quest shop point), I was just wondering if any of the other quest givers have the same thing? It's hard to tell because their prizes are different. And if not, why only the wizard? Is there a reasoning behind it?

Wizard is the only one I can think of. If you don't get his items promptly, he won't give you as high of a wizard token

I've never even noticed there was a penalty for being slow completing a quest promptly. Obviously need to pay more attention.

I think, but haven't yet proven to myself with an analysis, that Saggitarius will penalize you for time if you try to buy wholesale, but not if you buy all items retail. The loss is around 35-50K.

Cursed quests give you such a small fraction of the amount you paid in sP it's hard to tell for sure, but I think that they give you less sP

The others don't seem to, even if I forget I'm doing them and come back in the nick of time?

The one last thing I haven't really tested, because the chance of getting a QP is already so small, is that maybe this chance is affected. Other than that, the quest grantors seem to be totally lying to us about quicker completion being rewarded.

There is so much variability in quest rewards (factors such as rarity, # of items, randomness, etc) that even though I've tried to figure this out, I haven't been able to. Keith has stated that this is definitely the case, but I can't remember exactly where it was so I can't reference for the specific statement he made.

in the Anaheim meetup in 2010 he told us personally that it was the case. Keith tries to be nice in person and in Keith Answers, so this was a rare and unequivocal direct statement from him, IMO. He did this because I being the blowhard and the obessive numbers analyzer that I am declared quite loudly to the person I was talking to that only the Wizard matered.

The quests have been revamped since then. I haven't seen or heard anyone official say anything one way or another since.

Ah interesting. What i remember was stated during the revamps - maybe feedback thread on wiz quest revamps, or quests in general. I wish I could remember exactly.
