It's one month today that I smoked my last cigarette, so I was curious if anyone else on Subeta has turned to vaping yet. If you don't know what vaping is, here's a quick definition - "To inhale vapor from E-cigarettes. Used because "smoking" an E-cig doesn't apply as there is no smoke only vapor."

I wanted to quit smoking for a while, but couldn't because I was too addicted. Finally, I had enough and got submerged into the vape world. I have to admit, even though I've invested way more money then I ever planned into my vapes, I'm way more happy with it then smoking. So does anyone else vape? If you do, what do you use? Do you mod? Favorite flavors? This is my new obsession and I'm hoping to find more people to discuss it with xD

I used to vape when I quit smoking, and I eventually stopped using that so I guess I don't smoke anymore??(weird)

I don't remember what type I used, but my favourite flavours were rich tobacco and raspberry, especially in the 18mg vials. I couldn't do 12 or 6 cause they just tasted too fruity and didn't have enough nicotine in them, and 24 was waaaaaay too much omfg.

Loved that I could smoke it anywhere, and mostly did at work. 10/10 do recommend

Wow proud of you guys, I tried to stop, but I just like it too much. I had gone through two different vapes, one a regular vape which was the itaste SVD and MVP, both were alright and a Clone that I made. I don't vape even though they sit by my computer and still go out for a real stoggy. I don't know what it is, but I like the tar taste and the burn that a vape doesn't give.

I quit smoking on May 25th and have vaped since then. Started at 18mg of nicotine and now I'm down to 3. My favorite juices so far have been wake and vape (a coffee flavor) and Tiger's Blood (like the snow cone). I've tried a lot of others but I've been super picky when it comes to flavors.

@ KISMESIS: I originally wanted to use it to quit, but it's sort of become a hobby now with how much I've spent. Eventually I want to quit all together, or at the vest least get down to 0 nic. but huge congrats on quitting!

@ ZombieHunter: I love my MVP, but just got a mod so I'm kind of in between the two. I felt the same way when I tried to use e cigarettes, it just didn't cut it. But eventually the burn, taste, and constant migraines pushed me over the edge.

@ moonbeam: what do you vape with? and I get so picky. I have somewhere between 5-7 bottles of juices I won't smoke because they tasted good when I tested them, and now hate them.

I use a KangerTech battery and KangerTech mini protank-II. I don't get all crazy with it and do the dripping and all that. Lol. I have been debating trying some juice with melatonin in it at night to help me sleep...I belong to a vapers Facebook group and I've heard lots of good things about it!

: I just got into the dripping aspect because my protank 3 kept giving me problems. When I'm not freaking out it's going to explode in my hand, it's pretty good. and I just saw a type of juice to add to help you sleep when I was looking for more juice flavors. It did have some really good reviews. The site also had one for stress relief, which is the one I really want xD

I don't smoke or do anything like that, but I'm curious as to the health risks of this vaping thing, both to the user and those around them. I was at a pub the other day, and someone near me was using one and I could smell it. I don't know if they always have a scent, but it smelled like a regular cigarette mixed with raspberries and to me it was overwhelming and gross, just as bad as a regular cigarette almost. Granted, I do have extremely sensitive senses, especially my sense of smell, so it could be just me. I'm just curious as to whether anyone else here has had anyone tell them of a smell.

My vapor does have a smell but it's nothing like cigarette smoke and doesn't linger. I can't say I've ever smelled any that could be compared to cigarettes...

It could've just been me and my annoyingly sensitive sense of smell. I'm allergic to basically everything that has to do with scents and smokes.

: From what I've read, the health risks are significantly less than normal cigarettes. The difference is that with vaping, you aren't ingesting the tar and carcinogens that hurt the body so much. You obviously still ingest nicotine and the risks with that, but compared to smoking it is a lot less. As to second hand smoke/vape, I watched a video where they blew vape and smoke into water bottles and after shaking, the vape water was still clear and the smoke one was dingy. I'm sure the second hand vape still contains nicotine, but compared to cigarettes it is less dangerous.

In regards to the smell, it all depends on the flavor the person has. With the one you smelled, they have juices that taste like tobacco to give it a more "real" feel, which is why it smelled like a cigarette. My cotton candy one would smell strictly like cotton candy without having any scent of a cigarette.

Congrats on quitting smoking. I smoked for about 30 years and switched to vaping about a year and half ago. I honestly didn't think I would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've upgraded my e-cigarette several times since I switched and I like the one I have now. It's mainly a trial and error. I prefer the original tobacco flavors to the fruit ones. I also like the mocha flavored ones too. The pluses are you no longer smell like cigarettes and it's a lot cheaper. Overall, I don't spend as much money as I once did.

Keep it up!!! My boyfriend started vaping about a year ago and hasn't had a cigarette since (except for this one time that he was drunk at a bachelor party...-_-) . He stopped with the ecig after about 3 months though, and now he doesn't smoke or vape! I'm so proud of him! My roommate also quit, and I know several other people that it has worked for.

I do know some people that have picked up vaping, and they still smoke cigs. This doesn't make sense to me. Now they are inhaling nicotine pretty much all the time! So be careful that you don't start doing both! :D

In my bowling league there is a guy who vapes. He is super annoying about it though. He smokes inside everywhere he goes because 'its not illegal.' He is not an intelligent person to say the least. Hes about 40 but acts 13. I just can't stand the attitude so many people have about it. Yes, its better than cigs, but its not really healthy. I smoke Hookah, which also isnt as bad as cigs, but its certainly not 'healthy.'

: Thank you! I figured eventually I'd quit vaping too, but with how much I've spent, I want to feel like I have gotten my moneys worth. But that being said, I did start at 12 nic and I'm currently vaping that still because I have the e juice I like in that, but I'm mostly doing 6 & 3. So at least I am cutting that down steadily. I tried a hit of a cigarette just to see about 2 weeks ago and was honestly stunned I ever liked them. The taste is so terrible to me now, and since I no longer smoke them, I FINALLY understand how bad they can smell. Needless to say, I never want to go back to cigarettes. Right now, I'm addicted to cotton candy. It's the first flavor I've been able to buy more than once and still love. and I just found razzleberry today, so that is another one, along with strawberry milk. and aww thanks :D I stalked your profile and Lion King is amazing. : I hate people like that, and believe it or not, others who vape feel the same way. I saw a kid walking down a hallway at my college yesterday vaping and I wanted to smack him. Even if it isn't illegal to do, doesn't mean it should be done. With WHO and other people/organizations wanting to "crack down" on vaping, it's people like that, that give the whole thing a bad image. I've only ever smoked my vape one time in a public place, and I only did one hit and barely produced any vapor. I tend to treat it like a cigarette when it comes to when and where I can smoke it.

All those flavors sound delicious, especially cotton candy! My boyfriend had Krankberry and Rasta Blood that I loved. My friend uses Roundhouse with Cream...which I think is just chocolate covered strawberries. It's delicious. I am definitely a fan of the more fruity/fun flavors. My roommate uses Southern Sweetleaf, and it is basically tobacco flavored. Ick!!!

I don't smoke and have never vaped, but my brother does and is a manager for a vape shop! He is always talking about vaping. He was a long time smoker also. I'm so glad that there is an alternative out there for those who are wanting to quit smoking. Best of luck to you as you continue!

Its essentially a replacement for a cigarette and should be treated as such.

I'm using a vaper too but only with nicotine-free liquids, my favorite is mint I guess. c:

I finally got some new juices! Retiring the Tiger's Blood for a while. Lol. I got Snickerdoodle and Ill Nilla (haha) which is a vanilla/sugar cookie blend.
