Can someone please tell me the pros and cons to having one?
The benefits are all listed on the GA page in the Cash Shop.
There is only one con I can think of. Once you get used to it, its hard to go back to a regular account. You won't appreciate all the perks all the time - some you won't care about because you don't use that part of the site - but the ones you do get to liking, you will miss terribly once the GA runs out.

I agree with here. The 5 extra quests are nice, but I can't say I would miss them nearly as much as the autopricer. I don't really use anything else.
It also seems like the Resort bonus is not listed. If you use the resort in Veta Lake, with a Gold Account, you can put all pets in at once instead of going back and clicking multiple times.
