like a wearable crystal ball, tarot set, voodoo doll, etc, maybe have a stand in the carnival? just a thought after our own carnival passed through town here. :)

I think this is a cool idea for a costume trunk. A reference to The Night Circus would be amazing (Isobel?!) since we have tribute items for the reveurs from the Reading Drive. It would be nice to have performer items to go along with the fan ones. :)

a costume trunk would also be cool, but I was looking for general release wearables. Currently there are quite a few voodoo items, but none of them wearable, and no wearable crystal ball/tarot cards. And the fortune teller theme fits in nicely with both the carnival in Delphi Beach, and impending All hallow's Eve time. Coincidentally, I'm just reading the Night Circus now! :D

Deeply iffy. I already don't like that subeta has gpsy items because it's well known that gpsy is a slur to the roma

General release wearables tend to be more basic things that come in multiple colors and said during Keith Answers that NPC shops are his least favorite way of getting new items out. We actually do have voodoo wearables from The Zombie Den, Quentin's Quests, and the Voodou LaMoure set. Happy reading btw!

Political correctness aside, we already have the Gypsy Troupe Costume Trunk so it wouldn't make much sense to make more items of that ilk. I'm not sure why fortune teller necessarily has to equate with gypsy either.

The "gypsy" trunk (Hey, I didn't name it, & would be all for renaming the items to "romani," esp since I have some in my heritage) is awesome, but it's not exactly the same as fortune teller things, ie crystal balls, tarot packs, runes, et al. It would even be great to see these as carnival prizes maybe (just seems like it would fit in with that corner of subeta). I think right now the only wearable divination item I have is the dowsing pendulum. edit: It also occurred to me it would be cool to add a fortune teller feature to the carnival, even a coin-operated (Wizard token-operated) automaton like in the movie Big, that spits out random fortunes and fortune telling items. :)

I would LOVE to see a little fortune teller tent at the carnival! Or just a little automaton to spit out the tickets. I think it would be really awesome and cute.

Maybe something like "Wanderer" would be better if Subeta really wants to rename that costume trunk since that's a real life culture and not a Subeta one. We also have the Galactic Gypsies and things like the Atebus Gypsy Chance Box.

Carnival game prizes would be a good way to get out these kinds of items.

A coin-operated automaton would be really cool! I'd want it to spit out items or something with the fortunes for sure, because just fortunes would be a waste of wizard tokens. I thought of the fortune teller machine from Scooby-Doo first.

it might be too many new books to have all the fortunes be books, but maybe if there was a book as an achievement prize for getting your fortune told x number of times? like "collection of fortunes" or something like that.

maybe the actual fortunes could be like if you had a lucky one you might find more sp/items through random events during that day (or just have more random events in general idk), and if you had a bad fortune maybe your pet might get hurt or you might lose sp in random events. maybe there could be fortunes like "YOU WILL GET A VISIT FROM THE TEMPEST SOON" AND THEN YOU WOULD GET A VISIT FROM TEMPEST AHHHH.
