I sent one on Aug 23rd. It's now Aug 27th. I think It says it takes two days and than it sends it back if something to exchange is not found.
I am going to test this and see how long it takes me. Let me know if and when you get your gift back!

It's been two months. I'm starting to think its not coming back. Also I don't want this thread to be considered necro'd. Maybe I'll edit this post if it takes me longer and when/if I do get it back.
Just so you know, necro rules don't apply to this forum. :) So never hesitate to give us an update!
Did you ever file a ticket for it? If not, I would suggest doing that so a UA can perhaps track it down!

I would say missing items, but the categories really aren't that important (pretty sure they all go to the same place anyways, hah) :P

Ticket response: I'm very sorry about that. As this is an issue with the programming, it will need to be reported in Problems and Bugs for the programmers. They should be able to figure out what's going on and get it fixed.
Okay, I wasn't sure if they could check into it or not. I'll file a report to the programmers. Sorry! :(

The Gift Exchange sends a notice that the Dawn Velosotor Elixir you put up for exchange did not find a match within the 2 and a half day time limit. The item has been returned to you. Please feel free to try again.

I got my items back on the same day destiny had. I retried this on the 16th, just to make sure. Still don't have my item:/ So I'm not exactly 100% convinced its fixed.
Edit: I just got back the item I sent on the 16th. So I guess now its somewhat a week long wait.

That's weird that it took so long I'm going to try and find out if that's intentional or not. :o
EDIT Do you remember if you EVER got the item back? Undoubtedly finally got it back after about a week.
