When searching for an item name that brings up multiple matches, account search currently shows a list of those matches and we have to click on the one we meant.

How about displaying results for the exact match on the first page? For example, if someone searches their account for "Paralix Plushie", it shows that item, and whether or not they have it. Then any other matches are listed underneath, and we can check those too if needed.

Make it a bit easier to search for item names which can bring up multiple results. This would be especially useful for items that result in huge lists, like trying to search for [item2=Orange].

(I'm sure there was a thread of ideas for Account Search before, but I can't find it. If it is still around and active, please link me and close this one. :))

I know for a fact that this has been suggested before, because I remember the other thread. (I don't know if it's still active or not) But the fact that this has been suggested multiple times and it's failed to be implemented astounds me. Displaying exact match first is a great idea, or there could be a check-box or something for searching for the exact match so you don't have to wade through dozens of items with "orange" in the name when you're just looking for a single actual orange.

I do wish we had a box to tick or maybe the possibility to use " " to look for exact matches ._.

Just set it up to work the same way Search Subeta does: exact matches listed first (if any), followed by all results. There shouldn't be any need to deal with checkboxes or quotes or anything.

Yeah, exactly like that. :)

I've added Subeta's search functions to my browser's search bar with an addon, and run most account searches through that. It would bypass a checkbox option. I heard about that addon here, so I'm betting there are other users who do the same thing. Showing exact matches by default would be more useful than a checkbox.

This would be awesome. I am glad they fixed the issue where it would only display a limited number items (making it impossible to search for "Rose" or "Pear", if I remember correctly), but it would be nice if it actually searched the item you typed in first. Maybe have the drop-down like in shop search to better facilitate typing in correct item names?

The number of results displayed was increased a while ago. "Rose" and "Pear" do appear in the results. "Orange" does too, and I know that one used to get cut off. Sorry! Misread your post. xD

The drop-down would be a great addition too. :)
