What did you accomplish Subeta through this recent event? Did you attract new members? Did you provide current members with a fulfilling and fitting plot a site is depicted to be everything that Neopets failed to be? Was it an event where if you put in a lot of effort that you would be rewarded, no matter who you were or how skilled you were at a certain aspect?

No? Well I guess you're saving that for site holidays when we are already busy; or actually probably not at all. There was an opportunity this summer, when I'm not bogged down by midterms, finals, and everything else, to have an event that did not coincide with the busy period of site holidays that are approaching. It's not like the constant complain that users have, that there are too many holidays, will ever be acknowledged.

I have never ranted in this way about Subeta, but I've (personally) constantly been disappointed in their plots/events as of late. This is not just about Peka-Boo. The last meaningful one was the Masquerade plot in 2013; and I didn't even dig that one. (I use to think that) Subeta continues to waste resources and miss opportunities. (And also this)It's a sad debacle when other pet sites that were designed for young kids have better events. And let me be clear about this, this isn't about battling which some see as the only valuable thing on the site or anything specific. The item prizes were fine and that sort of stuff. It's about the nature of the event itself, the mechanics used...

I needed to create this post. I now accept that I should not have an expectation that a plot/event should please me. I feel enlightened as I now know what my purpose must be. To just get all the special event items you can from it, that's all that matters. So in the end, this was a complaint about myself. It was about assumptions and expectations that I shouldn't have; I shouldn't be spoiled with such things. I now know what my purpose is for the effort that I put into future events/plots, which is getting as many items I can for my wardrobe or my pet or for my hoard. I use to think that the story or mechanics (or, how much I enjoyed them to be more precise) is what mattered more than the prizes. I already submitted the survey above, but I answered it completely wrong. My answer should have been (and this should have been an option): I don't care.
