I see a lot of people where they're pets have this whole huge backstories. Why? Is it something they just make up or are the pets used for roleplays here somewhere? If so,,, where? lol I'm confused and would like to know. help?

A lot of people just make up their stories (like myself) Or they roleplay with friends or users they befriend (there's an rp forum, bottom of the forums main page) Everyone is different.

pretty much explained it in a nut shell. For some users, it just gives us something to do while on the site. That is the category that I fall under. I suppose some just like to try to get a pet finished and nominated for the Pet Spotlight, too.

Because developing your pets is fuuuun. :'D And it's a great outlet for creativity, a nice excuse to collect art and work on coding, collect certain items (for their TC), etc.

Different people do it for different reasons, but RPing or story-writing seem to be common ones. Also, winning the Pet Spotlight gets you a trophy for the pet's page and an achievement and it's a great way to meet people with similar interests since there's a few cults dedicated to pet/character development! c:
