I was wonder which ones might be better and have longer usage with most batteries. I Have this digital camera for 2 years but it only takes certain batteries and the battery life, if new is usually 3 days or less:/ Any advise on any brands that might work better? Possibly works with rechargeable batteries? Also has a power cord?...now i just feel a little silly because i don't think any have those.

Does your camera take AA/AAA batteries...? I would invest in a camera that is rechargeable. I have a Olympus FE 280, Canon Powershot, and Nikon D3000, all 3 of which come with their own rechargeable battery and charger. The battery life varies depending on how much you use it, of course, and I honestly don't know what the real battery life is for any of the cameras - since I only use them regularly if I'm out sightseeing, I keep the batteries fully charged each day just to be safe. I use my Nikon for more professional shots or when I need a giant zoom lens, but my Canon is my go-to camera when I'm sightseeing because it's small and takes great pictures.

It's AA's. I'm surprised that my Canon is so picky with batteries, its weird. Thank you for your info:)

yikes, it's no fun having to switch out batteries so often especially since they're not all that cheap. There are a lot of deals on good point-and-shoot cameras these days, you could probably get a new one that's rechargeable from $70-100 tbh. Gone are the days of my first digital camera ever costing $500 haha.

I have a Kodak EasyShare. It takes AA batteries, if I recall. The best thing I have found is to take out the batteries when not using the camera. Seriously. I leave the batteries sitting right next to my camera, and they've been working for months. The minute I forgot and left them in there once, they were drained in a day. =|
