so guys, i have just spent the last four days without my computer (omg, i know right? not four whole days) and it's amazing how much I got done without it.

I cleaned out my entire room, did some homework, made a few appointments that I had been putting off, and saw some old friends. Nice.

However, when my laptop came back today I legit teared up. Haha. The coolest thing happened though. It was away getting repaired by dell, and before I sent it away I wrote this message on a sticky:

And when I got the computer back, they wrote:

Haha, that isn't supposed to be covered by warranty cause it's "cosmetic" or whatever. Bam.

So, 4 days without computer= success.

Tell me, how much better do you think your life would be without your computer? What's the longest you've gone without your computer?

Like a couple weeks ago my beloved laptop lost just gave up the ghost and its hard drive stopped working entirely. LUCKILY I found my warranty receipt from Future Shop and it was still under warranty (until like this June, so lucky). So I bring it in, and they set up to do my hard drive and my twitchy screen. I dropped it off Sunday evening, got it back Friday. :D And they secretly bumped my hard drive from a 250 GB to a 500 GB! It was such a treat to see that.

And life wasn't much better. I was entirely bummed out without it. :( I wanted my baby back, baby back, baby back RIBS. (-coughs- Heh.)

I've gone an entire summer + 4 months without a computer. XD It was actually... Not that bad. I read a lot more, I get outside more, I clean more. I'm actually quite productive when I don't have a computer that I can use!

I honestly am way more productive without my laptop around. But I'm getting better and better when it comes to self-control.

When I don't have a laptop I get distracted less so usually I get a LOT more drawing done and things like that. I love drawing, but sometimes I'd rather sit back and admire other's art than make my own, I get so discouraged lol ): I never pick the computer over hanging out with IRL friends or going places or doing homework/other necessary things though. I like my computer and being able to use it whenever I want, but it never really takes over my life.

I think I'd go into total shutdown without my computer. It's my only place to vent. And most importantly, it's my only connection to Doctor Who because Comcast be bitches.

I actually don't use my computer much on summer/winter vacation. But not having it for college? I would die. All my work is on the computer. EVERY FUCKING DAY I am on a computer. I get sick of it and just don't use it much if I don't have school/homework xD I'm starting to wish I had a life without one.

Hm, depends, I was out of my lappie for a while until I could save up and order a new one, but I used kidlet's desktop off and on....

Depends, I guess i get the same amount done. I do more book reading...... 'shrug'

Honestly, I don't even use my computers that often. =/ I have a desktop, a netbook and I'm pondering an iPad. I mainly just use my HTC Evo. =)

That is really spiffy that they hooked up your laptop. And... I really don't like to think about the productivity that my laptop inhibits. Best to sweep that one under the rug and surf the Google in peace rather than pieces.
