I recently noticed that on subeta lots of people self freeze when they know they're gonna be on hiatus for a while, so my first question is: is it actually very easy to get back your account if you self freeze? I do it all the time with Facebook, but for instance I'd never do it on neopets cause their customer care is horrible and there's a good chance they'll never geet back to me. CC here is awesome, but I was wondering if it would be considered abusing the system self freezing each time you're not gonna be around for a while. Like "you've done it 3 times this year, that's unacceptable and we're not giving back your account again" unsure Also: I know we're not supposed to discuss frozen accounts, but are we allowed to ask if a user got frozen or self-frezed? Cause I've had two friends apparently frozen this month and I freaked out just to find out they simply self iced and they're back now, so it would be great if we could actually ask about that.

I had no issue coming back from my two week hiatus, it was just a case of signing on and clicking the link to unfreeze. The only thing that took a while to undo was the strike out on my name. As far as I know, there's no limit on how many times you can freeze and unfreeze, though I doubt anyone would want to do that more than three times. (Not to mention, if you have to freeze more than that, you might as well stay off for a while until things settle enough for you to stick around.)

And no, it's against Subeta's rules to talk about frozen users. Mostly for the "They aren't here to defend themselves" aspect.

Thank you for posting, it's a relief knowing that you don't have to send a ticket and fill a form like you have to do on neo, with all those ridiculous questions xD The only reason I was asking about multiple self freezing is just cause sometime RL gets too busy and I have to stay away from any online games if I want to get things done, so usually I don't log in at all for a month or so and I'd feel better if I could just freeze the account for the time beeing, just to avoid temptation :P (like I do with FB,lol) I guess that makes sense.. I only wanted to know if you can say something like " I noticed xxx is frozen, did they mention they wanted to self freeze to you?" to a common friend, but if it's against the rules I'll avoid it =)

you could always make a ticket and ask about the frozen users, but definitely do not discuss them on the forums. I know with the name clearings and that it was perfectly acceptable to make a ticket and ask about a frozen account and get information on them as to when their names might clear. however, since you would just be asking as a third party and would technically have nothing to gain from anything they told you (ie. a pet name) they might tell you you're out of luck. but i can't imagine you getting in trouble for asking in a ticket, you just might face denial haha :P

I'll definetely avoid discussing it at all then, it doesn't seem appropriate to send a ticket just for that. Thank you for the explanation =)

If you've got contact with them on another site, neo, fb, tumblr, you could always ask there? If not, I'd just hope for the best, and wait it out.
