I know that we are not allowed to trace other people's artwork. However, is it okay to trace items from here on Subeta? I don't mean custom items, just regular old subeta items?

First, I'd say wrong forum. Second, to be safe I probably wouldn't do that, but why would you want to anyway? I'd say you could re-DRAW it but not trace it.. otherwise that's just. yeah. stealing.

Nope! All tracing is considered art stealing, unless you're tracing something you own (like, a picture) and are able to prove it! So, under rule , you cannot trace anything if you plan to redistribute the content in any way! Note: If you're tracing strictly for practicing purposes, as long as it wasn't redistributed (which includes selling/giving/etc), I believe there would be no problem (:
