Yeap, they do go away! Either after your next hex :P or in .. either half an hour or an hour I forget.

You can use a Hex remover (one use) to get rid of it also, or a Hypno-Monocle (CS item) to drastically reduce your chance of being hexed (it's not 100% though). Protective Sage is an old MC item that miiight be 100% anti-hex, I'm not 100% though :x

I have the sage, and it is not 100%. I've seen and experienced hexes as long as three hours.

I wondered if I'd spent too much sP, so I tracked it when it was new and it's like 95%. Back in the day, trick or treating happened every five minutes, so it was easier to check. I do know, because I filed a ticket, that the sage and monocle do not work together, only separately.
