Urgh I hate when I don't think before I create stuff.

I just created a pet with the intention of eventually turning it into a Steamwork Aeanoid. Because Aeanoids usually require a seed and a preexisting pet, I used the Create-a-Pet feature for name-reservation's-sake.

It has only NOW occurred to me that I could have just straight up created a Steamwork Aeanoid through Isaac. I know I can use the master schematic/key to transform this pet into the desired Steamwork pet anyway, but here's my question:

This "standard" pet obviously came with an assigned gender, because I had to give her one to make her. If I use a Genderless Berry on her before I use the schematic on her, will the pet get that nifty gear gender symbol on their profile like I'd get if the pet had been created from scratch or will it just be the o as seen on the Endeavors/Cadogres' pages?

The pet would not get the gear gender anyway, you need to have created the pet from scratch through the Steamworks place. It will remain the gender it is now.

Edit: Oh but if you use a genderless berry, then it will get the o symbol.
