OK, with the new books being available for playing mystic spindles, I tried to play a game but it says I have a paused game. I asked twice on the news announcement page to ask for help, but I guess it was not the right forum for that. I must be breaching some sort of unspoken etiquette I am too dim to understand. I apologise in advance for repeating this here, and if I've posted in the wrong place again. I cannot play the game, it says my game is paused and it wont resume. I've tried resuming on all of the different levels, but it does not work. It seems that I am the only person having a problem with it.
Unless there is some sort of incantation or mystical gestures that I have forgotten to include in my attempts to resume a game I wasn't playing; could someone please help me? Or at least let me know if this is something I should send in a ticket. All help and advice is very much appreciated and VERY gratefully accepted.

Mine wouldn't let me play until I clicked on the "how to play" button at the top of the screen - perhaps try that?

No that doesn't let me play, but thank you for the suggestion. I really appreciate that you took the time to answer my query. I suspect that the site has changed in some way. Because when I started to unblock black-listed items in ad blocker I got to see more of the game. I allowed 4 or 5 items and got to see everything except the pieces themselves.
It's all quite odd because the drop down menus used to work until last week now I am obliged to white-list a blocked item just to use them. But, it's pointless to ask what's going on I never get answers when I ask questions.

You're welcome! It can be hard to get replies in the news comments. Maybe try the start over button if you haven't already? Or try turning the adblocker off for subeta and see if it helps you with the game? Staff have been making a lot of changes lately.

I tried start over and it's like clicking on a broken link, nothing works. Besides, I don't like disabling so much 3-4 things maybe, but it keeps wanting more and more. I'll wait and see what happens, most of the other games still work so perhaps it's just temporary. fingers crossed I do appreciate you taking the time to try and help me, thank you very much for your kindness.

There is a thread in the bug forum for this (not specifically spindles, but the menus etc.) issue, this one, where they talk about the problems you are experiencing and several possible solutions.
