Kinda :p He's always been super chill and used to be a bit of a hippy, but now he wears smart-looking jeans, long-sleeved shirts and v-neck jumpers haha. I like both hims though :p

Yeah, that's really scary the way they do that. I'm incredibly daunted by the idea of starting one, but I've started planning it at least :) I have a basic timeline, which I thought was a good place to start... Not sure where to go now haha.

Pet roleplays? What would that entail? Would it be our pet HAs and such? I'm new to roleplaying on subeta (but not roleplaying in general) so I'll probably have tons of questions.

Roleplaying as a pet (either quad or anthro) from subeta. So, for example, you could roleplay as Iqado (that the right spelling?) and I could roleplay as Underworldemon (Under), and we'd come up with a plot and write about how our pets interact with each other on the plot... I'm happy to answer questions :)

You should do it :D It's good exercise and fun to learn, and also stretches and exercises your memory.

You should write one, just do it in your spare time, you know? (Although, given the amount of art you just said you need to do, you might not have any ><) I have two ideas, but the one I've started on is a fantasy novel set in the clouds. It's set in an alternate timeline to ours, a little further in the future. There are two races, humans and Avians, and until about the beginning of the 20th century Avians and humans developed seperately. Avians lived in the clouds and resemble bird-men, their physiology, mores and practices seemingly a mixture of the two. Around the end of the Victorian age, it was then that the Avians came to the ground and took humans as slaves back to the clouds.

While human technology developed in the same way as in our timeline, with electricity, Avian's technology ran parallel with that of humans, but ran off the magic of the Avians. As humans began developing more and more technology after some of the species were enslaved, the technology began to get more and more similar, but each still with their own power to run it. Still, there are some differences, for example the early childhood development.

On the clouds, humans are used for manual labour and slave camps are large, horrible places, run by the Governesses and their female heirs (Avians have a matriarchal society, despite males being the more attractive gender). My story features the heir of one of these Governesses who gets kidnapped by an escaped group of slaves and how her life goes steadily downhill from there, but how she learns sympathy and even love for some humans.

I wanted to explore her life without her fighting the Big Issue, instead how she has to deal with her own Personal Issues, you know? It does, however, leave it open to me writing about the Big Issue in later books if I wanted to, you know? What's your series idea? Oh gosh, sorry for the wall of text! (And that it took me about an hour to reply ><)

Okay so after a quick google search on what defines quad and anthro roleplays I guess I prefer anthro more. The thing is I don't see my pets as well pets, I see them more like their HAs and being actually human (Rushad is a special case). Plus I have a bit involved backstory with all of them including my own HA Polkit who I consider another character too (Wah this is getting complicated in explanation sorry! @ ) But I'd still love to roleplay my lovelies because it seems like tons of fun!

I really need to get back to some excerise again...I'm getting too lazy again. :/ I took an ocean swimming class over the summer before I left for England. I was all tan and in shape it was awesome...now I'm all pale and flabby again xD

Oh wow you have a lot thought out! Okay so I'm a total nerd when it comes to world building and hearing people's analysis of their own stories so I love hearing your plans for Big Issue vs. your character's personal issues! I just really love the set-up that you've made it sounds like a really cool world to explore and read about like the customs and social rules and such (sorry sorry suuuuch a nerd for in depth story worlds OTL ) I once read a children's novel with a premise a bit like yours where a girl was kidnapped and then learned about her captors etc except it was a period piece and her captors didn't know she was a girl uhhhh actually a lot of differences but it reminded me of it because with a plot like that it can either be done well or....not xD I don't know, it seems like you have solid footing in your basic idea so far! Good luck with it!

I've actually got two series ideas and a slew of short story and novella ideas, but one of the series idea (the kids' books) has been really calling me to write it. The basic premise is that a 10yr old boy lives a happy life with his mom and st. bernard. His father and mother are geological anthropologists and go to different dig sites around the world and when they couldn't bring their son with them they would bring him back different rocks from the sites. One day the father went missing from the site and he hasn't been seen since (my sister is pushing for the dad to have fallen into a volcano but I'm not going outright pull a Disney and kill off a parent :l ). Years later the mother is given a once in a life time opportunity to study a rare dig site and she accepts the offer. She plans on having her brother and his partner watch her son while she's gone. The son is uneasy about her leaving so she tells him that if he ever feels sad or lonely and missing her he should take the rocks they brought him, rub them and imagine happy times (much like the concept of a worry stone). Blah blah she leaves, kid gets bored so he goes to the rocks and he soon finds though that whenever he rubs a stone and closes his eyes he's transported through time!

So the series would follow the boy and his dog going on different adventures through time, whether it be in a jungle in the 1600s or the old west even good ol' Victorian England! And every time he's in a new adventure he meets and befriends a guy (who always suspiciously looks like his uncle) who drags him into the adventure.

Yeah, I prefer anthro, too. I understood what you meant about your pets straight away. I think of my pets as kind of humanoid versions of their species (so, anthros haha) with my HA as more their adoptive mother than their owner, if that makes sense? Even though most are adults now. Still, I want to roleplay some of them as younger than they are now, so that they have a history :) Do you think this thread will get moved if we do it as an extra to this conversation?

Ooh, that sounds really good! You'd have a good opportunity to research lots of things whilst doing it, like historical situations and stuff, you know? That would be really interesting for you. You should do it :D I agree with leaving the location of the father a secret, leaves it open for speculation, and inclusion later on.
