Stuff like that actually happens a lot here in Ontario, not to mention all the times that people who worked for the OLG (people who run the lottery system) managed to tweak things so that their friends or family could win for them. It caused a major overhaul of our system, but the problem still seems to exist.

Here is one of the most recent examples that has been in our news. The store owners stole a free play ticket that won the next draw. The people accused to stealing the ticket still have to go through the court process, but the OLG paid out the original prize with interest to the people who should have won, and will hopefully collect some of the stolen prize money from the accused once everything is settled in court.

How do people live with themselves? I mean, sure it would be nice to win a lottery, but to steal someone else's win? How do they justify that to themselves? If I tried something like that, I would never be able to spend the money or look people in the eye afterward.
