I think the best way to describe this bug is using a scenario. It happens to me daily and I can only assume it happens to other users. The issue is when you are replying to someone's comment, it will not go to them, but to the last person you commented.

Scenario... I wake up in the morning and find I have comments from person A and person B.

I check the P2P on person A to remember what I've said and write a response. "Hi how are you". Comment sends fine, great.

I go back to my comments and click the P2P with person B. Write a response. "you're pregnant??". Send comment. Now what happens is person B receives no comment, but person A receives "Hi how are you" for a second time. All traces of my comment to person B are gone. I have to retype it and send it again.

Does this happen to anyone else? Could someone test it out? Using Firefox, couldn't find any report of this error, hope it's not just me.

Yes it happens to me too using Firefox 24.0 It happens if you reply to another comment without refreshing the page first. Very frustrating and annoying when you think you have sent something and are waiting on a reply but they get multiples of your first comment. I also receive multiples from others so it is not just you and I. It did not happen before I upgraded FF

I don't recall when it started happening - but yes I am using Firefox 24.0 as well. I know I have to refresh the page but I am so stuck in my ways that it is just habit not to! I've had this happen every day for the last week at least. Glad to know it's not just me

It has been happening to me for at least a month, maybe someone will see this and help us out, I was tempted to make a ticket but they are so busy with the events.

This happens to me all the time. Whenever I receive a double comment I always alert the poster of these comments that one of their comments probably did not go through, either a comment to me, or a comment to another person. I try to solve this problem by posting directly on everyone's profile, this seems to avoid double comments. When I do reply to comments on the comments page I refresh the page between every comment, this seems to work too. I always check in p2p if all my comments got through.

This has been happening for months now. It's really annoying. My friends and I have to check all our comments to make sure they went through. Like you said, the 1st comment goes fine, but it you send another to the same or a different person soon after, it duplicates the comment to the first person.
