Sometime soon (I admit I don't know exactly when) I plan to make another pet. I'd like to sort out their TC and general character beforehand so I know what I'm doing and what I should be looking out for - instead of changing my mind all the time and wasting a load of money. And I want to know if it's any good in the first place...
Here's what I have in mind, though do note that the name is subject to change: Jenny Greenteeth, spirit of water and drowning. In trueness to my habit of making fanart/characters of things I haven't seen yet, she's technically speaking a Rise Of The Guardians OC but can work perfectly well out-of-universe.
Character Outline
She's a spirit of water, especially dark, dangerous water where strong currents lurk under the surface. Originally dreamt up by mothers to keep their children away from rivers and lakes, she represents the danger of drowning. Jenny is fairly powerful and well-believed in, since drowning is a pretty universal danger outside of deserts, and has an association with lake-monsters like Nessie and bunyips.
In life she was a young girl who drowned whilst playing about near a bridge, during the 1100s; she still haunts that bridge from time to time, making the local children too scared to play nearby. This pleases her, since she doesn't want to see another child's life ended early.
Personality wise Jenny's rather bitter, snappish and cynical, not believing in a 'softly-softly' approach or the 'coddling' way that the Guardians interact with children. She isn't popular with them, isn't one of them, and she doesn't care one bit. Inside, though, she's more of a jerk with a (well-hidden) heart of gold. Jenny cares deeply for all children, loves to watch them play and collects all of the toys and trinkets they drop into her waterways.
As to relations with the others, Jenny used to be quite fond of Pitch, what with them both using fear tactics and all. She deeply dislikes Jack Frost as he encourages children to go ice-skating and other dangerous pursuits; the fact that he drowned under her watch reminds Jenny of the times she fails and she lashes out at him through disappointment at herself.
As for her TC, I was thinking:
Item Ideas
Items to do with water - more rivers and lakes than the ocean. Shells, ugly fish, reeds, moss, algae, seaweed, that sort of thing.
Items to do with swimming and drowning. Do we have any safety devices, floatation aids? Guides on how to swim?
Items to do with horses - preferably unpleasant horses. 'Night-mares', if you wish.
Items that look like they're old and have been underwater for a long time. Soggy, waterlogged items.
And items that could have been lost or dropped by children. Old toys, useless trinkets, cheap shiny costume jewelry. Something a child could have and that Jenny would find interesting enough to hoard.
I was thinking of making her a Nightmare or Graveyard Legeica, since she looks like a kelpie - a sort of fairy which takes the form of a horse to lure people onto its back and then drown them. Or a Hydrus Hikei, since the Hydrus Legeica hasn't come out yet.
Thoughts, opinions? :D
EDIT: ...If that's okay. >///>
ooOOoo, cool, I like the idea :) I dunno if you're looking for tc suggestions but if you arreee:
I'm sorry if you weren't looking for suggestions and I just unloaded all of my ideas on you, but I've loved the kelpie lore for a while and have had thoughts here and there of doing a pet with the same theme. I think a legecia would be very fitting, both nightmare or graveyard, because there's still a bit of elegance to it when seems characteristic of the kelpie. Up to you of course though. :) I hope I helped :)

I really like this idea! It's well thought out! (some of these are custom clothing, so they may be out of your price range)
Water
Swimming/drowning I couldn't seem to find live vests or the like...
unpleasant horses
toys rubber duckys
old items broken bottles
Soggy/waterlogged
