Art Market: "Buying" section

I would very much like a separate section on the Art Market forum for people who are looking to buy art to post in. It would help artists who are looking to sell, and not to buy, since the threads can get more than a little mixed up.
I agree.This would make things a lot more organized.And make it easier for the artist who like to search for buyers sometimes.
I think this is a great idea for both sides! Makes it easier to find what you want. :3
I know this has been suggested many times before, but I don't think it was actually turned down. I'm all for it. (Please, please, please?)
I like this idea, the forum tends to get really clogged up and it's hard to find things. And it is a really busy and popular forum.

I'm all for this, even though I don't buy much art. I will be in the future though.
I have wanted this for a long time. It would be easier for both sides. It would be easier to find someone selling art, and it would be easier for the artists to find people wanting to buy it.

I disagree. I&;ve seen this suggested before, and I just don&;t feel it&;s warranted. In my experience, I often get less success with a buying board than I do browsing the forum for shops. If this was in a separate forum, I feel like they would be even LESS successful--plus, then your board would be competing with only similar boards. I know I would never visit that subforum unless I was pinged there.

Personally, I think Wanted threads have plenty of success and the separate subform does keep the advertising threads oraganized. Also, art buying threads are generally broader than item buying threads. I don't see how it would hurt. As an artist, I have been avidly searching though wanted threads lately and it would be very helpful if they were all in one place. There would be less pages of stuff to sort through, and topics aren't always titled obviously.
I feel pretty ambivalent about this.
While I can see how this would help organize things, in reality, I probably wouldn't click through to the buying subforum unless I the recent topic had a title that interested me. Which is basically what I already do with the buying and selling threads lumped together in the main forum.
Because I have an art shop thread up, I generally don't go out looking for buying threads intentionally, but I usually check out a few while I'm in the main forum.
