Honestly I'm not really sure if I really want advice for this I would just like to take a few moments to vent a tad. So I started roleplaying on proboards and whatnot, Soul Eater to be specific and it all started off super awesome. Eventually though the staff and whatnot broke up and people went their separate ways.

One of the staff members, we'll call her Jill, would follow myself and my girlfriend around from forum to forum harassing us. We banned her ips and whatnot, including that of her friend and whatnot, her husband, and so on. Eventually the harassment -I can't believe they were still able to harass us at this point- drove us to change fandoms.

Last night someone came to the forum, we'll call her Ellen, came to the forum and called us thieving whores because our new forums looked similar to theirs. The problem with this is, our codes were not stolen and they were taken from a resource site and all credit was left on them.

Honestly what upsets me the most about this is that they won't let it go. The big drama-llama first strolled their last year, and it's driving me insane that they won't go away. They're on every site we go to, and we've even jumped fandoms, purposely avoided sites they're affiliated with, and cut off all contact from them.

I'm not really looking for advice, I'm just...upset. My girlfriend and I feel violated and it isn't fair that we have left them alone and yet they continue to harass us. I make myself out to be the victim here but honestly it just...is not fair.

I'm sorry this keeps happening to you. I had a similar problem back in March in WoW where this guy got leadership of our guild and started harassing everyone, but because he was guildleader people just turned the other cheek. It didn't end well for him though, we took everything in the bank and left, and when he came accusing me of being a childish slut, I gave him a big fat piece of honest opinion and shoved it up his ass (not literally).

If you have credit on your forum from the resource site, and you have evidence of the coding being from there, you should just politely tell her to throw her anger at the resource people and not you. Coding is not very hard to make, one can easily look like the other and especially on forums. It's a terrible accusation, but I don't see how she has any sort of valid evidence of you stealing anything right now. It can just have been a Jill henchman or something, because some people have that little selfrespect to bother following people around like that.

I truly hope you manage to get rid of this. One shouldn't have to abandon what they like just to please someone else.

Guuuh WoW was the bane of my existence for...forever. I had never had problems with people on it simply because I never talked to anyone.

Still Jill and co seem to make it a habit to roll through all of our sites. It doesn't really...bother me but it does bother my girlfriend and she takes things to heart and starts to feel sick and whatnot. I doubt they would care if they were told what was going on with her because I am well aware of their own real-life problems which they are...taking out on us through the internet. -_-

I pretty much only started because my exbf wouldn't talk to me unless I whispered him, even if I was in the next/same room -.- I'm in that guild for my roommate's sake, I'm co-managing it with her since we got that douche kicked out. Otherwise I wouldn't talk to anyone on there either, lol.

Don't contact her again under any circumstances though, because stuff like that will only make them troll harder. They will reveal themselves if it is them, and then you can do what is necessary.

Aah I had a friend that would play WoW with me it was...kind of fun? I mean...it is a lot better when you're with someone else and whatnot. Though I've taken more to rping and whatnot.

We haven't contact Jill and CO, and don't really intend to. We're trying to see if we can report them to the head honchos and whatnot, and if we can't or if there isn't a 'legitimate' case for a ban or something I will not be pleased.

These people sound extremely petty, I'm surprised at the lengths they're willing to go to harass you after all of this has happened. It seems that they are extremely discontent with themselves, not just the entire situation with you two. The best thing I could see doing at this point is to just keep banning and ignoring them. They're not going to listen to reason (I'm presuming you've attempted that), so ... it's either that or get harassed. Eventually they'll get bored, but that's under the assumption they have something else to do.

Sounds good. Sadly you can only take it to authorities if they threaten you with real life things, otherwise I'd have advised you to go there. Just keep up the bans, and you should be good after a while I hope. Best of luck <3

Oh, sweetheart, I know that feeling. I know it well. I'm sorry you've had to go through that. I don't blame you at all for feeling violated, someone I was very close to pulled much of the same with me last year, except she refused to give me peace both here and on Tumblr. I wound up blocking her as best I could and reporting her to one site host (ProBoards, ironically.)

Just, my best advice is to take it as they're being extremely petty, extremely jealous of you (be it friendship with your friend or skills with running a site) and leave it at that. Eventually, move on. Nothing pisses off people who want to drag you down more than moving on and enjoying yourself. Don't let it cost you something you enjoy, fandom or otherwise.

Proboards seems to be faaaamous for having people like that around and whatnot. We've...done our best to avoid her and co but they keep popping up. We've gone through and banned all their devices and it's just getting to the point where it's just like, "why are you trying so hard?" We've left them alone since our last big...parting. My girlfriend is overly forgiving and let them be staff on our last site within the Soul Eater fandom and it was then that we just kinda went our separate ways, only to have them dog us every step of the way. It's just...ridiculous and petty.

If you've done the best and can honestly say so, then what else can you really do besides move on? You don't have to associate with them (coughyourgirlfriendcough) let alone be mods on the site.

It is ridiculous and petty, like, have you nothing better to do. Directed at these people you're having issues with, not you.
