I haven't been around for a reading drive before, so I don't know :o But I really need an item for my collection from one of the old drives that isn't in shops or trades, and nobody responded in the wanted section. So I am nervous haha! @ Thank you!

So far, yes, they have. That's no guarantee to the future, but the previous years they haven't cleared the shop. :)

this is not always so that items are still available. The truth serum was available in the last RD, but not the one before.

They add new things each time. I'm pretty sure the Truth Serum was made that year. :)

Well, looking at Subetalodge's Reading Drive shop info, with items sorted by time line, you're right, I am wrong, it wasn't made last time. It looks like it was made the time before that, judging by the lack of item ids between it and the new stuff. Are you sure it wasn't available in the drive before last?

yes. Even though you are one year older than me, it first appeared in our first Reading Drive. I started in on battling not too long after that RD was over (I was too poor to read many books), and didn't buy a Truth Serum from other players because it seemed too expensive and I thought there would be another one next year.

There wasn't, and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the Battle community about it. My guess is that the "steal two items" feature of it was considered too much of an advantage way back when weapons could reflect, and once reflection was removed from battling, or perhaps because the Battle Admin from that time was one who like the item, it got added in again for the last RD.

Nothing new got added for the RD that the TS (and other items) was removed from. Halfway inbetween that RD and the last one, there was a looong contentious thread in Suggestions & Ideas about changing the way that the RD worked in which it was held by some old-timers that new items be added and by new players that books count for more than one.

I appreciate your information, thank you. Do you know of any other items that were removed between the years? I didn't notice any, but I wasn't aware of the Truth Serum issues either. I'm wondering if it was only that one or not.
