Made this for the London MCM Expo (oh yeah!) for my Hinamori Amu cosplay from Shugo Chara! The bag is actually more like a box :P

The box features a hidden compartment in the bottom where I could hide my purse etc if I needed to. The bag is on a belt so can be worn in the correct fashion :)

I got my wig from ebay, there are some nice ones there, mine needs a little tweaking though. I got the fabric from my local fabric shop :D Pretty much anywhere sells tartan.

Are you joining in with our shugo chara group? The group on the expo forum

X3 I am debating whether to be school uniform Amu or random cat outfit amu. It seems that there will be a few doing amu in her school uniform already so maybe the cat one may be better? :3

There were A LOT of uniform amus in May so the cat one would be a nice variation ^^

I found a fairly nice wig for £15 on ebay but I'm not sure if I will get it or not because I only have pocket money. P:
I went to the May expo on the Saturday and I only saw two or three Amus but I was mainly looking at the merchandise and stuff and a lot of the people tend to hang around outside don't they?
I have the material for the shorts, leg warmers and hat so I guess I could start on the cat one. :3

I tend to hang around outside at the expos as much as indoors, especially on that saturday, it was so so hot!!

I wasn't amu until sunday in may XD but my costume wasn't finished. Were you cosplaying in May? I might've seen you :D

I only get pocket money too, so I raided charity shops for my costumes, the wig and a humpty lock were the only things I bought new ^^

I wasn't wearing a wig but the weather was okay I thought. At the October expo I will probably be wearing a wig and fairly warm hat (Amu cat costume)! Although the weather will probably be fairly cold then.

Surprisingly it isn't that heavy! I thought it would be too but I can wear it for a whole day without it bothering me ^^

Weather in October should be better, I just really hope it doesn't rain. Amu wig + cardboard box = soggy Renamon huge tail = heavy when wet T_T

It would be cool to make toys of Amu's shugo charas. My Mum made me a Kusukusu toy a little while ago that looks really cute. X3

Iron-on transfer paper stuff is good for doing the eyes, mouth and stuff. X3 Here is a pic, I found one yay~ Excuse the hand, someone just decided to put their hand there. XD Rather random picture. (owO)
