The Great Rupee War -A Legend of Zelda RP-
Setting
Set before the events of Ocarina of Time, The Great Rupee War is the tale of how the currency of Hyrule came to be and weaving of the red history of the Royals of Hyrule.
Plot
Mines in the kingdoms of Hyrule were failing. Gold, silver and copper were plummeting in availability between the three great kingdoms of the Hylians, Zora and Goron- sending the value higher and the cost of living too high for some. As the rich became richer for their greed and the poor starved in Castletown, it seemed that a great unrest built quietly under the view of King Daphnes I.
But all news was not so unhappy in this time…
The King and Queen were soon expecting a son. One Daphnes hopes would be a sign of turning tides for his land. Solutions had to be found and difficult decisions had to be made as poverty and crime were on the rise all around him- but the King turned his focus inward to his wife… Letting the troubles below his throne room be…
As word of the new prince spread, a mysterious new tribe made an appearance, traveling far to come offer their blessings to the child. They were the Magi, a people of peace and magic. They, too, suffered in their land at Snowpeak- a place never visited due to its treacherous paths and harsh weather. They ventured to Hyrule now in a gesture of cooperation, offering the Great King a solution to his kingdom's troubles in exchange for food and acceptance to the richer lands of Hyrule. The Magi were versed well in the task of mining. However, it was not for metal ores- but gems they called Rupees. They were in great abundance and imbued with magic properties that aided the power wielded by the tribe when drained.
Different magic trapped within the gemstones gave them different colors- some rarer than others. This made their worth greater and made the crystals a better substitute for currency, and a deal was struck...

His uncle was one of the family members that liked to tip-toe around the line of the law, and it was his mischievous yet calculating personality that caused Adrian to greatly look up to him. He began to steal petty keepsakes for the fun of it, which caught the attention of his aunt. In short, the aunt sent her husband off, and when the uncle died, Adrian ran away, full of bitter emotions regarding the law and its unwavering sense of right and wrong. He became a traveling mercenary for Hyrule, making a new identity for himself as the dark knight defending others in the name of his uncle's memory. He was accepted into the Hyrulian Guard after a friend referred him. Though initially terrified and full of anguish at the thought of this law system being responsible for his uncle's death, he was encouraged by a mysterious council member that he would receive great power and eventually revenge if he rose through the ranks and listened to her words of wisdom. Trusting this new advisor, Adrian has tried to harness his hateful emotions and express the negative energy through fighting. So far, it has been successful, for he has recently been promoted to Captain of the Guard.

Strengths: She is a potent magic user, using the extracted power from Rupees to boost her influence and further corrupt Hyrule. Veran is infamous for her possession, teleportation, and limited shape-shifting abilities. This, along with her manipulative nature, makes her a formidable opponent. Weaknesses: She is vulnerable to Mystery Seeds, and there is a chance that a certain magic contained in a Rupee could be combined with existing skill to overwhelm her. Apart from being a council member to advise the king, she has no standing power. Brief Background: coming soon~
