it states in the item description that the is for increasing your chance of getting candy. so is it DECREASING your chance of getting rag dolls, plushies, stickers, and the not-candy wearables?

TIA for your help!

No. It just decreases your chance of being hexed.

We don't know for sure if the Monocle only does candy or not . I think it's not, but don't know for sure,. I bought Sage the very first year it was available and have been using it since.

This year is the first year where there's massive overlap of non-food items in trick or treat. Most of these items would have been in the Pumpkin Patch in the past.. There've been other years in which there have been a few non-food items from Trick or Treat, but either the Hypno-Monocle was not readily available, the number of non-foods has been too small to get a statistical result, or the timing of ToT has been long enough that there 's not enough data points.

It honestly wouldn't make sense to have the Monocle be that specific, but if you want a definite answer I would ask a staff member, it'd be a lot easier than attempting to collect and analyze "data"

laughs self silly at the idea that data is not a real thing

Sometimes filing a Ticket in Help works when it's an item function thing, and sometimes, they're not telling.

shrugs

It's worth a try.

I have been wearing the monocle and have been ToTing all day since like 9am subeta time and this is the first time I've been hexed. I have gotten a ton of all of the ToT items, what I feel is an even "random" mix of foods, wearables, ragdolls, whatever.

As far as I remember from past years, it's pretty much accepted subeta "law" that it just decreases the chance of getting a hex.

I would say the same thing as you. Ever since the monocle had been released, I was under the impression it did the same as the sage. I VAGUELY remember something about increasing the amount of stuff you get from TOTing.... and greatly reducing being hexed. But to err on the safe side, I would say it only reduces the chances of being hexed.

well, it's been a slice. I'm outta here. I'm done here and I need to move on to other things. I've grown weary of forum bullies and just don't have the energy for them anymore. I am praying for my friends here, as well as the bullies... everyone needs prayer...
As for my friends, I love you immensely and you are always in my heart and in my soul. God bless each of you and I pray He blesses each of you greatly.

It doesn't decrease non-candy because I have too many fog and ragdolls for my own good

I WANT CANDY, YOU STOP GIVING ME PILOT RAG DOLL THIS INSTANT.

(seriously people, if there is anything wearable you want from ToTing, i probably have like 5 of them)
