Biiiit of trouble typing this out. I decided that I was going to make myself a drink tonight, and went rummaging through my cupboard. I see a single bottle of liquor in the very back (I don't drink much, usually, if at all), so I grabbed it, cracked it open and poured some over ice once I smelled it. Some kind of scotch.
Ummm, here's the kicker: it was really good, so, being the nerd I am, I decided to Google it. Turns out it was a £250 bottle of Glenfiddich, and it's now half gone -_-. And I think it's too late to uh, try to get it back in the bottle.
Anyone else ever done something like this?
Before anyone asks, I am ABOVE the legal drinking age in Ontario :P.
Not like anyone was using it otherwise.
I think it was from the year of my parents' wedding >.<; Buyt my dad has passed on, so... just got off my cell with my mom, she's on the other sdide of the country, and she said it was OK, thank god.
Find something to celebrate and think of it as a party! :P
Ah man, it's one of those you can definitely tell if it's been opened, isn't it? So you can't even take cheap scotch and... lol.

Hahah oh god, I'd be shitting myself Good thing your mum was okay about it :p
Haha yeah, I was so relieved! Now I'm debating if I want to make an old fashioned scotch bread (using actual scotch for some reason) in the cupboard that I was cleaning, to at least say I did something constructive with it :D.
I've never heard of scotch bread before :o Doing something constructive with it might be the way to go, though! Haha
I've never heard of scotch bread either :o Do eeeet. But seriously lol @ the story. It's a good thing it's okay that you drank it. I mean, it's not like it was being used otherwise. Did you at least enjoy it? :P
Finally got around to baking it, it smelled kind of weird when it was baking. I used almond flour and xanthan gum instead of white flour, so maybe that's why, but it wasn't bad! I enjoyed drinking it, ohyes. I'm living on my own for now and I've been messing around with recipes and mixing drinks and just generally making a mess :D.
Making a mess sounds fun :D I want to try all sorts of recipes when I move out. But since I still live at home, it's difficult cause of difficult people.
LOL! That's slightly frustrating to find out. xD
Think of it this way: You didn't have the $250 at the time; just the possibility of receiving it IF you sold it. And you don't have the $250 now. Just a belly full of scotch and scotch bread(?).
To each their own. ;)
