I was googling a question about vending machines and I clicked on a link that appeared to be a forum thread on here, it looked exactly like subeta except I wast logged in, so I clicked off it as quickly as I could, and I had another tab open with a subeta page on it, and when I clicked on it, I wasn't logged in, so I had to log back in. Has anyone else ever done this/has this happened to anyone else? Should I be worried or anything? :( thank you

Unfortunately I have never experienced this, so hopefully someone has and can give you some more information. But if you think that something suspicious has happened, it's always wise to change your password ASAP! If you haven't yet, I would also suggest setting some PIN locations as an added precaution.

I haven't gone through that, but to add onto what said, I would scan your computer before changing your password. If you did happen to pick something up on the other site it's best to find it before changing your information or they might have the new info too.

I don't know how to explain/describe it but I usually think 'oh Subeta being buggy again' and close the page and log in on my original page. I have never thought to change my password and have never had any issues with my account being hijacked or what have you.

If it was a really old thread, then it probably linked to an old version of the site. There used to be Subeta.ws and Subeta.org, but I don't think they're used anymore.

the site I visited had "avatar." in front of the subeta in the address and then another site had numbers :S

Ah, yeah, there's an avatar version as well, though I'm not sure what that's for. Think it's for testing and admin use. The admins have had their own version as well, can't remember exactly, but it was like keith.subeta.net and such. Not sure about the numbers one, though. I faintly recall being able to put a 2 or something in the address to get to a different server, but that was ages ago.

The subeta site with numbers is subeta's IP address. I found that out years ago when the site was down in opera (due to the www. issues it was having at the time) and I wasn't aware it was a browser issue, and I was googling ant possible server that might be working XD; I still see the IP url from time to time, usually for really old boards, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about c:
