i read the book. i saw the movie. i was so fucking excited about the movie, and i waited like, three months until i could see.
worst. fucking. movie. it was the worst book/movie transition that i have ever seen.
don't ever complain about twilight leaving out a line or two from the book, because unless you've read my sister's keeper and saw the movie, you have absolutely no right to nitpick.
and don't come bashing me unless you've actually read the book/seen the movie, because if you just saw the movie and knew nothing about the book, you don't have a fair say in this. :x
i was pissed off to say the least. book killers to the max. :x
Awww, is it that bad? That's one of my favorite books, and I've been dying to go see it.

I haven't read any of Jodi Picoult's books but the movie looks pretty good....
ive read the book, but i haven't seen the movie yet, i do want to see it no matter how much like the book it is or isn't
Tell me. I have heard they change the ending. Is this true? If so, fuck you Cameron Diaz - i will not support this bastardisation of my favourite book.
I've been dying to see the movie but I've heard bad things about it... I'm seeing the HP movie instead x3

the ending has been changed. ^_^
I read the book, really liked it and i just knew from the film advert that they butchered the book. I will not be going to see it xD
ohh, you don't even know.
I just looked up the film synopsis on wikipedia. Stupid fucking movie producers. They could have made this into a fantastic movie AS IS. But no. Let's change the fucking story so much, that its basically a completely different story, just with the same character names.
I won't spoiler anything here - but seriously? WTF were they thinking?
I won't be seeing it.
exactly. first of all, julia wasn't even in it, and second of all, THE ENDING MADE THE MOVIE A DIFFERENT STORY.
sorry, it didn't happen lolthnx.
I read the book December - January and I remember quite a lot of details.
The movie in my opinion was nice, but sucked at the same time. It's a whole different story with along a few similarites with the book. Though the acting was very good in my opinion.
Like I always say, the book is usually 99.9% better than the movie.
I HATE the ending...:(
yes, the acting was very well done, i'll give it that. but it didn't do the book the justice it deserved... which is why it sucked IMO.
My friend just e-mailed me angry that the wrong person died..?
I really don't know though, I haven't read it or seen the movie.
Well, you made me curious so I wiki'ed the book and movie to figure out the ending differences.
The book has a pretty good twist, but I think in movie form it would be a bit of a mindfreak for the poor audience P:
though I don't care enough to see it because Cameron Diaz can only hold her own in romantic comedies...
The twist would have been fantastic in the movie. The producers were just too batshit scared to try doing it true to the book.
Yeah, the original ending wasn't "fair". But who gives a shit. LIFE isn't fair. Crappy things happen to decent people ALL THE TIME. Why change the entire ending, you dumbshits?
QFT. And she should stay there.
