So, My friend , and I have been having a hard time saying the pets names, Is there a place where they are spelled out so we can learn how to say them.
Like I say Feli, Fell-E. is it right or wrong?

I don't think Subeta has a place where they're all pronounced. But I KNOW 'Feli' is pronounced the way it is in the word feline - Fee-li!

Yeah I pronounce Feli Fee-Lie too but I don't think there's a place to find them. Keith and Rah might have said a few on different livestreams or something but you'd have to do a lot of searching for that.
There have been many, many discussions on how to pronounce things around here - from Subeta itself, to pet species to holiday names. The final consensus is that there is no "correct" way to pronounce things. I also say Fell-E rather than the more correct Fee-li, just because that's what I started with and I just can't change it now. Then there are some outright errors - like for some reason I thought Genetech was GenOtech.
I figure, as long as the person knows what you're talking about it doesn't really matter. Think of it like speaking "Subetan" with an accent!

FWIW I went to a meetup, and there were lots of different real world accents already, sp the petnames sounded different anyways. Nobody cared, and we all understood each other.
Reason why I asked is cause i own two pets named from pets like Rreign and antlephore which i call, Ray-gin but when i remember its something like rain or something of the other and then there is Ant-tell-four.. The other two friends, are new here so its hard to say names and try to explain what pet is what when i don't even know how to say their names itself. So I was just hoping someone knew the correct to close/how they pronounce pet names.
I just always find it odd they have holidays and peoples names written out, but not the pets.
I'm actually reasonably certain that Keith himself pronounces it "fell-ee" rather than "fee-lie" :P I still call them by the latter.
Shoulda put two 'l's if he wanted us to say "fell-ee" -- the only word in the English language that has the letters "eli" at the end and is pronounced "___ ell-ee" is deli and that's actually just a short form of the word delicatessen, a German word we [s]clubbed over the head and added to our language[/i] borrowed. Okay, technically there are two other words:
... which is a very long-winded way of saying that until Subeta invents its own dialect with a specific set of rules that leads to the pronunciation of Feli as "fell-ee", I will continue to run with what sounds best to me because dammit my degree in linguistics has to be good for SOMETHING. ;n;
you can start a thread in Suggestions & Ideas. Subeta is always open to new ideas to improve the site.
I have found that when describing subetapets to people who've never encountered the concepts before or who are weak on the names, it's better to describe one of the defining characteristics of the critter instead of the name. Name recognition will come later. This was true even at the Subeta Meetup I went to: even some hardcore subeta people concentrate on the pets that they really like and all the others are like "oh, those, oh yeah those are cool"..
The thing that I find most confuses people in RL who have never seen the site when describing it in words is "sP." Subetapoint and esspee take the same amount of time to say clearly, and we users are used to talking about sP as if it were money, Since Subeta is monetized (with CSC being saleable on the open market) it's important that they realize sP just happens to be one of this site's many kinds of scrip. sP is not really money or cash. This was also true at the Subeta Meetup.
I wish you luck describing things to your freinds, Subeta is a lot of fun!
At the meetup last weekend gave us a tip of how its la-geisha [like a french geisha ;D]
But we also talked about how needs to make a list of these. Because she is all knowing[aka snazzy badass]. All I know is that here are a few she and others said [I used to be with most thinking there were many ways, but the creator of the pet species has a specific way to pronounce it from what I herd. So hopefully we can get some sort of idea.]
Jollin ~ jah-lin [like jaw, and linnen] Legeica ~ le[or la?]-geisha [french geisha forever]
Ones I herd being said there whyllop ~ why-lup[or lop?] rreign ~ rein [like rain?]
