Well, I have avoided doing this for about two years now. But, before I get into that, I would like to tell you a little about myself: I am 25years old currently, successfully graduated with a BFA degree in last May, have been married for three (going on four) years, and very much enjoy things revolving around fantasy. Oh...and I still enjoy RPing, even though it has roughly been 12 years since I started doing such things.

I try with my grammar, language, etc. But it has been a handful of years since my last language class, and MMO gaming has not only made me a little lazy, but very rusty. I do not use chat speak, but my typing is not perfect. If I have a good bout of inspiration, I can be quite chatty. More so once I get to know someone a bit.

I am in the central time zone of the US, if that helps you understand my haunting/living hours. I am out of school, but I do have a part-time job. (As of late, I'm usually on between 7pm-1 or 2am. When I have work. When I am off, I am often on most of the day as well. I am not a morning person, unless you count how "late" I stay up as being morning.)

Now, as I said in my title, I'm coming out of my hole in the ground. As the years have past, I've become terrified of posting in forums. I cannot fathom why. And for the past two years, I have a friend that I had been RPing with for at least four years that lost all contact with me. Though you are not here for her story, it is the reason why I am writing up this plea. I wish to find someone else I can chat and RP with.

My preferences?

First of all, I prefer to use a messenger. It makes the interaction more fun for me (less like a forum as well) and it has worked in the past to help me make some great friends that I will never forget. I do not expect to find a life-long friend with this. But if it does happen, great. I treasure friendship quite highly. I use YIM the most, but I do have an AIM account as well. I also have a Skype, but much prefer the other two over it. Sorry, I do not have an MSN messenger.

Secondly, please, I try very hard to treat people as I wish to be treated. I will respect you if you respect me. Etc,etc.

For topics/settings/style, I try to be flexible. If you have a request, by all means...ask! I will gravitate to fantasy if left unguided by some other request. I love animals and have no qualms with them or shape-shifters. I am actually quite fond of shifters. However, I enjoy many other races as well. Both traditional and original.

Characters...I greatly encourage completely original ones! Not show, anime, etc based. Not reused many times in other roleplays. I know we all pull inspiration from certain things, and that is fine with me. I just am not one for...well, for taking a copyrighted character and running with 'em. That hasn't set well with me since middle school.

Relationships! They're bound to happen, even if just in friendship. I am a sucker for a little bit of fluff and some romance. And, no, nothing graphic is wanted. I do not mind malexfemale or malexmale relationships. I cannot say I am fond of femalexfemale in all honesty. But I will not turn down a relationship if it is functional to the wanted plot. I never have thought of myself as a great battle scene writer. But, no one's ever really complained to me about it either.

Plots! Oh good grief...I usually make something up on the fly! With much input from the person I am RPing with, of course. I like to take whatever inspiration strikes us at the time and just run with it. I've spent years on one running RP before. I save every session in a word document, so it can be read like a book later down the road. I mostly started doing this once my friends and I kept forgetting where we left off, or even details of our characters! It is often fun to look back on as well. If you prefer a well thought out plot, and are willing to try to nudge me in that direction...I won't shun it! Just don't be afraid to ask. :3

Obviously, I love long-term stories. But if you are in the mood for many shorter stories, I would not turn that down either.

Am I forgetting anything? Probably. Frankly, I should be sleeping instead of writing this out. But, I would really enjoy finding a new RP partner. You seem like a fun person to rp with. I'm Rue. I'd love to rp with you but I am terribly rusty. And unfortunately, I don't have any messengers at the moment. My laptop is on its way to laptop heaven so I wont be able to on my messengers until I can afford a new one. At the least, I figure we could just chat and maybe become friends until an rp is available? I'm currently kind of sort of obsessed with shifters. Been trying to work on one for a while.

I would not mind chatting with you at all. I know currently, I am away from my messenger sources until Wed night or so. Out of state to visit with family and using a borrowed laptop at the moment. Mail me whenever you'd like to talk. :3 I'll return a message when I can. The last four days have been crazy for me. @-@ Sadly, all these events are making me miss out on the subeta event going on!
