i agree that the bonuses seem in poor taste. seems that putting that money toward a scholarship or fund of some sort on behalf of those killed in the accident would have better PR.

plenty of shit goes wong on all of those rigs, not just theirs. its a minor oops that they let it get this far (and your government is letting them get away with it, too!), but they probably made less mistakes this year than they did in the others.

the oil spill wasnt a mistake on their end, it was a CONSEQUENCE of a mistake. big difference on paper if youre lookin at it thru their eyes
