I'm coming up closer to my first Loyalty Box. I'd love to have a coffee-themed pet (I'm a coffee lover). We have a Cream pet, but not a coffee one. I think it'd be kind of unique as I don't think there are other pet sites that have a coffee pet, but I don't want to make it so similar to Cream that it'd be pointless. I don't want to just do an overlay for cream because, as much as coffee and cream go together, I think it'd be neat to have a coffee color :P
I just don't know how the pet would look like and would love some suggestions before I post in Suggestions. I'd be more than happy to put your name along with mine if you spark my creative side of things with your idea on how to make this color work! :D

We have Marsh (which is dark brown like coffee but does have the green accents) and cream (which is the paler color of cream but with blue accents)
I don't see how a coffee themed color would be very different or really that appealing of a large amount of people. It just seems like something that would work extremely well for an overlay. (Like the ghost pet suggestion you made earlier.)
Marsh, though, isn't coffee :P And both are just, w-ell, standard poses. I was thinking moreso of an uncomon pet pose with this color...I just don't know how it'd work, really :S

I love coffee as much as the next person (espresso is a beautiful thing) but there just isn't anything that makes sense to make it a color, especially one that has a unique pose for each pet.
When you say coffee for example, all I can think of would be various shades of brown, which is already covered by two colors.
With the existing pets I could see, especially with a few touch ups (changing the green accents of marsh, or the blue accents on cream, or even making cream darker) any of these speciffically working well for a pet obsessed with or makes coffee.
Marsh Chai / Marsh Anyu / Marsh Legica
Cream Bumbus / Cream Terracoon / Cream Irion
I my opinion, it'd be the same thing if I said I love bubblegum so we should make a bubblegum pet, even though Dawn would work pretty well.
What would coffee colors even be? Brown and darker brown, aka the same colors marsh and cream already are? I also fail to see what type of original pose it would need, seeing that it'd just be a generic recolor.
I'm pretty sure the old "just get an overlay" line works well here.
There's this fantastic new invention called an overlay for this.
So Riftborn is too similar to Darkmatter, but it's okay for you to want artists to come up with Coffee coloured pets even though the colour would be too close to Marsh and Cream? Even if the poses were different it's the colours we're talking about here......I agree with the rest, an overlay would be better.
Yes because we need a montre holding a Get Mugged! cup looking buzzed out of it's furry little mind.
Get an overlay.
I think it's a cool idea :3;;
I understand where the others are coming from though. It would be difficult to design... Especially with fancy poses.
It would be really cool if someone could pull it off though~!
There are some unnecessarily snippy responses here, though others have made some good points.
I would like this color, but there doesn't seem enough of an interest for this to be a theme with its own unique pose.
Edit:
As for ideas, I did imagine coffee pets them to be lounging around with a mug of coffee and a book, or pillows. They could be in different shades and patterns to represent other coffee flavors, like brown and orange for pumpkin spice.
That's what I mentally pictured from the title.
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn
That sounds like terrible Neopets customisation.

I tried making a Fester of this "color," since it's my favorite type of pet. I didn't spend long on this at all, so please excuse the looks HAHAHA.
The people here are making valid points about the simplicity; something named "coffee," by Subeta's convention, would only warrant a recolor. - "Glade" also shouldn't be considered a color. Things like "Dawn, " "Arid," "Dusk," "Field," etc. are recolors because they are considered simple names for colors. Things like "Glade," "Angelic," "Dark Matter," "Reborn," etc. have their own images because they describe themes.
I think it's as simple as calling your concept "Buzzed." The connection is still obvious through the color of the drawings, but it's more of a descriptive term than something that could be considered a plain color. My vision for this concept is that pets would be a more reddish brown than the green brown of the marsh, with cream-like swirls and some additional accent colors. They could be drenched in a brown liquid and have steam rising off of them; and possibly be lounging in large coffee cups, or wearing smaller ones as hats, etc. Fur/feathers/what-have-you would stand on end and look wild rather than lying flat. An idea is only as simple as you make it.
The drawing I did looks a little bit too much like a thanksgiving turkey AHAHAHAHA but I was being pretty lazy; Yep.
I definitely agree with most of the people on here, (although some people sound like absolute dicks). I think it'd be best if you simply gave your coffee-themed pet an overlay.
The concept (colour-wise) is far too similar to Marsh, Cream and Hydrus...and Steamwork being a shade of brown. The idea isn't something I think would appeal to most people, it's just not enough to make it into a theme. Not many people would make a coffee-theme pet, which is basically all you could do with the "coffee" colour... Characters would be very limited. I can't imagine much personality other than being "buzzed" as people have said.
