I want to make my pets some nice profiles but I don't understand how to do it at all! I tried googling it and reading other forum posts about it but none of it really helped me out, I'm still lost. If someone could give me like a really detailed step by step I would be so appreciative! I'm very dense so I apologize in advance if I don't pick up what you're throwing down at first.

Those are pretty helpful but i'm still not sure how to get like a base code i guess? like one thats simple that i can use and branch off from it so edit it into something different if that makes any sense?( ˃ ^ ˂);

CSS and HTML are pretty complicated things to just "learn". It's kind of like if you went up to someone and asked them to simply teach you Greek or some other language. It isn't really something someone can give you a step by step explanation for.

Your best bet for getting nice profiles is probably to have someone else make you one. If you're really set on making it yourself, it'll take quite a bit of time and effort on your part to learn how to do it. People do sometimes make premade codes or bases that you can use and edit, but there isn't an "official" code base or anything like that. You can try looking in some of the forums HERE for a premade or ask someone to make you one.

Sorry if I scared you, haha! There are definitely some things you could learn quickly how to do yourself, like altering the position of a box. But a lot of people (myself included) have been doing coding like that for years, and we still can't do everything perfectly, still have to google things that we can't figure out. It really is like learning another whole language.

All you have to do is copy and paste.

For a list of color codes so you can customize the layout : http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colornames.asp You can use the hex codes or the color name. I haven't had any problems using either names or codes. That site has lots of good general info about coding as well.
