Does anyone know if they changed how the pawn shop works recently? I was pretty sure it used to give you 1/2 the shop price. Today I used it and it only gave me 1/10 the shop price.

it got someone's panties in a bunch that Potions and Elixirs were once worth little or no sP. They Suggested that the price of them get increased, as if somehow making it miserably difficult to paint your pet like in Neopets was a wonderful thing, and this Suggestion was accepted. There was a massive excess of potions and elixirs around, so people started pawning them for their newly inflated half-price. This made other people start to whine that the Pawn Shop was being clogged/maxed out with nothing but potions. So they were reduced to 1/10.

Did Subeta choose to warn anyone that this was now so? Did they have the Pawn Shop Guy say anything or did they make an announcement? NO, they did not. Sorry you got caught out..

That stinks. I can't imagine many people will make use of the pawn shop anymore. I definitely don't think it's worth it for 1/10 of the shop price. Oh well.

you got 1/10 on something that is not a potion or elixir?

So the reduction is only on the potions/elixirs? I pawned a couple of these . Once I realized it was only doing 10% I stopped.

, they didn't announce the change as far as potions and elixirs are concerned. It's possible that there was another kind of item you pawned and that this thing you pawned was a new kind of thing they didn't announce, and I couldn't tell from your post.. I think it's still just potions and elixirs.

It might be that it's 1/10 for all Magic Box items?

I think you're right. I just pawned a retired holiday shop item and it gave me 1/2 the shop price.

I was playing with the pawn shop a little while back and found most items (magic shop or otherwise) sell for 1/10, but also found a handful of items that sell for 1/2, Telenine Fangs, Mori items and a couple of potions. It totally confused me, and didn't seem to have any logic behind it. I thought it might be shop related, or rarity, but when I tested, none of that held up. It seemed totally random to me.
