it's generally seen as rude to ping art groups that do not belong to you, even if it's set to group members-only ping and you happen to be a group member. Those groups are NOT general purpose, general public groups - they're for the artist to communicate easily with their followers or clients.

In any case, if you wanna ping groups make your own group. The people who joined another artist's ping group joined it because they wanted to follow THAT artist, not be spam pinged by other people.

You should also NOT ping artsale if you want somebody to price your art. Artsale if you're selling art, there's a artprice ping group for pricing art.

Please stop pining other peoples' groups. As others have said, artists make group so that THEY can communicate with their customers and followers, and these groups are made for them to ping, not others. I'm not upset or anything, shit happens. A lot of people will be quick to jump down someone's throat for pings like that though, but now you know not to do that so it's all good. Just keep an eye out and be careful, yeh.

No no, I'm sorry if I made you think I was angry with you. That wasn't the case! It's just, I belonged to two of the groups that were pinged, so I got a bit frustrated. It's okay, we all make mistakes!

lmao most of us are just telling you the gist of how things work around here. I'm not sure where you came from, but it's pretty weird to see "AnimeLuver's Artsu Pingu Group!" pinged by parties who are not participants of that group... because the title is like... that person's ping group... not yours... ya.

I know.. You see the only reason I accidentally pinged other personal artist's groups is because the description was vague and i misjudged it. I wasn't trying to abuse other 'personal' groups to get their followers! I just thought it was public thing.
