Same here - I shouldn't be made to switch dance partners every time...

.. yeah, I really, really hate this so far. I dislike going all around and dancing with random people; only with my verrrry dear friends. It's not the same, dancing with fellows you don't know, they might take the wrong steps and mess you up.

That, and I'm a meanie who only wants my friends to get tokens. 8D /shot

Seriously, this is total crap.

My husband and I dance with each other because that's what we enjoy doing. He is not active on the forums at all, so isn't likely to get many dances. He also doesn't have time to sit around on the forums asking for dances.

This prevents us from helping each other get tokens... now I have to waste every other dance on a total stranger... FUN.. -_-

How stupid.

This is absolute and utter crap in my opinion. I shouldn't be forced to dance with other people. I usually only do these types of events with my wife, and she is, quite frankly, the only one I care to dance with. Dumb idea is dumb. -_-

What about people who are doing contests?

Yessssss. I'm doing pretty well in a contest with some nice prizes, and now I'm going to have to forfeit every other dance to that dear person (you know who you are, sweetie ~) to somebody else.

I posted in Dance with the person above. I clicked to dance but still had 10 seconds left. I then clicked again and it said I couldn't dance with them twice in a row but I didn't dance the first time.

That is the problem I am having. The coding needs to go.

I had this same issue as well a few minutes ago. Refreshed after a 45ish second wait and got Jules being a prude. :|

I agree that this is going to kill the contest boards, forum count contests, and keeping me a my real life wife from dancing with each other. I mean really?!? Even if you ask someone new, if the time limit isn't up yet, you still can't dance with them.

Let me guess... someone got pissed when I commented on the main dance announcement that it would take 21 days to get to 10,000 dances and this is the retribution.

I think it is used to prevent autorefreshing. (because someone could autorefresh the page to ask someone to dance) but I DO see how it could be problems in contests.

Aaand right as I post this thread, the same thread is posted by somebody else. That's hilarious.

It's a problem with stupid coding if you get notified of how long you have to wait between dances and then still can't dance. Refresh or not... Funny, I thought the admin said it was alright now...

It won't prevent auto refreshing though. All someone has to do is set up two people to auto refresh on. When one person won't work, the other one will... you can still AR to your hearts content.

This is just a stupid worthless "fix" that doesn't actually fix anything.

But you can set up an autorefresher on 2 tabs with different friends set to different timings and easily get around this. If people want to autorefresh it doesn't stop them.

Yes, I /just/ thought of that. xD So I do agree then, what is this actually fixing?
